:) I am a USC petitioning for my mother, who currently lives abroad. I filled out I-130 form in December. Just now I noticed a mistake that I made on the form :( Yeah I know :bonk: Anyway, I misspelled city that she was born in..Just one letter..What should I do now? Is this a big deal? We'll have to send her birth certificate to NVC and it will have a correct spelling on it. Could it cause any issues?

Thanks for your help.

Does it make the city name significantly different? Is there another city with the wrongly spelt name?

If "no" to both, they will probably figure out it is a spelling mistake. I would do nothing for now, but maybe send an ammended I-130 with an explanatory note at NVC stage, ie next time you send in documents anyway.

Nothing. Non issue.

The I-130 is a petition to determine if your beneficiary is eligible to APPLY for an IR-5.

She is.

Correct it at the interview when she fills out the application for the visa.
