I know, I might be just impatient. We sent our I-129F last week, Tuesday and haven't heard from it. I've seen in a couple of timelines that some, just got it within a week. My question is, can we follow up? My BF called the customer service and they said he has to wait for the hardcopy. Will there also be an email sent? Thank you.

NoA1 is the easy part, it's the NoA2 that will most likely test your patience, hehe. NoA1 should only take a week or so. it's the NoA2 that has the 3-6 month average time frame last time i checked. assuming you don't get a(ny) rfe. if you're like me you'll be checking in on your noa2 everyday, hoping you get the shorter time frame... hopefully you signed up for and included the notification updates (g-1145) with your packet.

Others have already been given you great advice. If your fiancee's check was cashed then that is a indicator they got your file and your NOA1 will be coming. Normally it takes 5-10 business days for him to receive the letter. But keep in mind as you will learn, the USICS has their own timelines and have no urgency in our eyes (I am sure they do as we do not understand their workload etc). Fill in your timeline here and then you can start watching averages and see how your petition goes compared with others. Our process was 208 days from NOA1 to NOA2. Most run 150-181 days average depending on processing center. Advice is relax, get hobbies, study VJ and ask questions to educate yourself. This place is the best learning center.

Good luck

I got the confirmation text message about my NOA1 about 4 days after my actual NOA1 date, if that helps any, and my actual NOA1 date was about a week after I mailed out my I-130 next-day shipping (with the G-1145).
