This is a probably a silly question... But what proof of residence do you need to get a driving licence? I have a NOA for my AOS but as this doesn't include a date for "how long I can stay" it's not valid to get a licence in Georgia. What do I need to prove I'm allowed to stay here and therefore hold a driving licence before I get the green card itself?

I had to wait for my EAD to get a driver’s license here in Tennessee. If you have a DL from your country of origin you are allowed to use it in most of the states I think.

Each states requirements are different... it is best to go to the department of motor vehicle (or georgia equivalent) and look it up. Some require SSN as well....

YMMV

I think you are going to have to wait till you get your EAD (if you applied for it) or your green card before you can apply for your drivers license ...

I know here in Illinois I was allowed to drive on my Canada license for 90 days of moving to the state ... Although I am not sure if that is 90 days from when you moved here or 90 days from when you were a permanent resident (received GC) ... Doesn't matter for me anymore since I was able to get my drivers license today ...
