So on Jan 18th we received an email. One for each of the kids and one for me. Mine was saying that they have reviewed my DS-260 but are waiting for supporting documents. Well those were already sent at the same time but haven't been reviewed yet so no worries there.

Son #1 got a checklist letting us know they can't received scanned pictures. We know that :) And we know we have to bring the actual photos to the consulate for our interview. With EP we just sent the scanned photos and that's that. When I called in, they said his case was complete and just waiting on the related cases to also be complete.

Son #2 who got ALL THE EXACT SAME SUPPORTING DOCS as Son #1 got a different checklist. His stated that the amount in section 25 of I-864 does not match the amount on the most recent tax return. However, it does. I called in and spoke to one CSR who just kept repeating the same words that are on the checklist which I've copied below for you to see. It isn't asking for evidence or supporting docs. It says the numbers don't match, but they do! The scan was not the best so I'm hoping that's all it was. Even though someone else obviously looked at the same information for my other son and was OK with it. It asked for the form to get filled out again so that's what we did. Made a new form with the exact same information but an updated date and signature. I spoke to two CSRs who just said to resubmit so that's what I did.

If anyone has any other thoughts, I'd love to hear them!
