Since its been a month since my POE and my card did not arrive in the mail I went to the Social Security Office today.

I took a number, waited my turn and went to the window when my number was called.

Told the lady that my card did not arrive in the mail and I had applied from the embassy in Jamaica. She said 'It cannot be done that way'. I said 'yes it can because my son's own was done at the same time as mine and his came in the mail.'

She checked with my maiden name and my married name and said she did not see anything. she gave me an application form which I completed and gave to her. She copied my passport and green card.

Hoping to get it in 2 weeks as she said.

did she look you up in the SAVE database by your visa name or visa A#, or not look you up at all?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

She looked up something. Just not sure it was in the SAVE database. I just assumed that was where she looked. Should have known better since you have always stressed that bit of information. :bonk:

ya, being found in SAVE database at the SSA office is a major fork in the decision tree, for what's next.
