There's a difference between teaching children it's acceptable and "normal" to be homosexual (which is what I was talking about), and trying to convert someone (which I was not talking about).

It is normal and should be acceptable

That's the question isn't it? So, who is it harming if we redefine marriage to include homosexuals? Who is it harming if homosexuals want to have children so they screw their neighbor to get pregnant (or whatever). Who is it harming if gay couples teach their children to be gay? Who is it harming if our children are taught that married people can be same-sex couples? So what if they go to school and are taught that maybe they are born gay, so they simply decide when they are 10 years old that they are? Who is it harming if your children is being taught that a so-called "gay marriage" is equivalent to a real marriage?

And there is no sex involved in a surrogacy relationship. I and many of my friend have been surrogates for gay couples and I can't think of one who had sex with them. Why would a gay man want to have sex with a woman?

So how did you know you were a hetero? Did someone tell you that you were? Or that it was the acceptable way to be or it was ok? If you did not try both how do you know you are really a hetero? Were you born that way?

in my high school years I know several boys who likes to act like a girls.. they grow up to be gay.. and vice versa (I studied high school in all girl scholl.. so I know lots of lesbian) they know since they were young that they perfer to have relationship with the same sex - and I dont think they were taught or manipulate to be "gay" or even choose to. I know some girls who try their best to like guys so they could be normal but in the end they just cant and really have some bad experiences about relationship until they realized that they are actually lesbian

I just think forcing someone to not be gay or lesbian is the same as forcing straight to be gay.. and believe me a lot of people try to be normal and try to have relationship with different sex but it wasnt just right for them.

edit to add that I think same sex cupple that I know normally are well off financially anyway.. And I do hope they have a right to adop children too

In my family I have a cousin who is gay.... like me he grew up in a very small scottish fishing village... no one else in our family is gay and we do not know anyone in the village who is gay.... durring the 1960's & 1970's there was never any mention of homosexuality at school or in the community.... he says he has know he was attracted to men since he was 9 years old...

So please tell me where he was taught to be gay...

Actually I believe it's been researched and proven by psychologists that homosexual people are born that way. I'm at work so I can't do the digging required to back it up though.

Who in their right mind would CHOOSE to be gay? They are beaten, killed, ridiculed, ostrasized......why the #$%& would anyone CHOOSE that?

How come most gay people I know knew when they were prepubescent or just starting puberty that they were gay? Did they CHOOSE at 10 yrs old to be gay? I think not.

these comparisons of people marrying dogs and marrying relatives to gay marriage are incredibly ludicrous -- gay couples live like married people anyway (just don't have legal standing). What effect does this have on anyone's lives? Not mine......
