But gary thinks it shouldn't be because some choices are ok for society to accept and others are not?

That is correct. Do you really want society to accept all lifestyle choices?

The ones that aren't harming anyone, yes.

accepting and punishing are two different things too.

You can not accept any lifestlyle as strongly as you want, you just can't go against the law to punish or exclude tose you choose not to accept.

Shall we read the 14th amendment together?

Gay marriage leads to the descruction of civillization. :o

I'm pretty sure this is their thinking

however unlike marriage between siblings, gay relationships continued for a further 4,000 years without civilization ending

Excellent point

That's the question isn't it? So, who is it harming if we redefine marriage to include homosexuals? Who is it harming if homosexuals want to have children so they screw their neighbor to get pregnant (or whatever). Who is it harming if gay couples teach their children to be gay? Who is it harming if our children are taught that married people can be same-sex couples? So what if they go to school and are taught that maybe they are born gay, so they simply decide when they are 10 years old that they are? Who is it harming if your children is being taught that a so-called "gay marriage" is equivalent to a real marriage?

Yes, that is the question. Would you finally answer it?

Were your questions supposed to be rhetorical? They're not for me. They have definite answers, namely "nobody".

God that makes me laugh SO HARD.

Its like saying "Gays are angry perverts and they're trying to take over the world!!"

Way to assume that they're bitter and spiteful, and the only thing they want to do with their lives is "teach everyone's kids to be gay". They wont force their beliefs on their children either, and trust me, they are perfectly happy whether their kids grow up straight OR gay. It doesn't matter to them, they love their kids regardless.

You cannot teach someone to be a homosexual. Nor would any of these people try. In fact, if the members of the gay community that I've met are any example, they simply wish you the best no matter WHAT kind of relationship you have. Half the world is trying to convince them that their lifestyle is evil and wrong, and that they should just "stop being gay". I've never seen a gay man telling another straight man "Hey it's wrong to be straight. What the f*** is wrong with you?!"

All they want is acceptance, the same right to a loving marriage that any of us have.

Sadly, those who are apposed to homosexuality do seem to believe that gays are perverted and evil. Go figure.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

And there is no sex involved in a surrogacy relationship. I and many of my friend have been surrogates for gay couples and I can't think of one who had sex with them. Why would a gay man want to have sex with a woman?

There's a difference between teaching children it's acceptable and "normal" to be homosexual (which is what I was talking about), and trying to convert someone (which I was not talking about).

It is normal and should be acceptable

It has been throughout history until somehow (I will not get into this) people got hung up on their own insecurities.
