My friend arrives in 2 weeks for his first visit to the USA. He has a 10 year Multi-Entry visa. He is 60 yrs old and owns a home and a business in his home country if this is relevant.

He has an adult daughter who is a USC and several other cousins/aunts/uncles living here who he wants to visit. He also wants to visit numerous places while here, Vegas, NYC, San Francisco and we were going to try to fit in a cruise but he doesn't feel comfortable leaving his business in the hands of others for too long and we have decided to do it on his next trip.

I realize that each individual case is different but my question is: He plans to stay for 7 or 8 weeks, return home for a month or so and then return for the cruise. Would you expect any problems on the second entry?

We have not booked yet. I am researching now. Probably going to do a 7 or 10 day. I also have to be aware of any necessary visas to the countries the ship stops at!

It sure is nice being a USC, I have traveled all over the world without giving much thought at all to Visa's except for just a couple of countries!

What country is he from?

I really wouldn't expect any problems, especially if he has a cruise itinerary on hand.

Should be fine, as the two trips together aren't even close to the 6 months usually given on a tourist visa.
