Has anyone have their AP approved or touched very recently?

I was just wondering because it seems like no one has updated any new information about their AP for a week now. It's been almost 80 days for me and nothing has been done since 8/31/06. Did they just stop processing APs? What takes them so frigging long? I mean... There seem to be less AP applications than EAD applications so... I don't understand. Average time suppose to be about 72 days so I am definitely worried. Also... what bothers me the most is that there some people with later receipt dates that get approved before I do. What's up with that? It states specifically at their website that to be fair to everyone, they are processing applications in order they receive them. Anyway, just worried that this thing is never going to get here.

Same here -- no touches and no approval. It's always possible that the approval is already in the mail without a "touch," however.

8/11/06 Married.

8/15/06 Received marriage certificate.

8/16/06 Overnighted AOS and AP applications (no EAD, since I won't need it until next year).

8/17/06 Delivered at 12:44pm (Chicago lockbox).

8/24/06 All 3 checks cashed.

my AP and EAD were both at Chicago, I had no touches on my AP before it was approved and so far I have only received the emails stating I was approved. -- I did have a touch on my EAD yesterday. Are the AP and EAD together/related? I have no clue

AnnaC, didn't you schedule an infopass appointment for today? If so, please let us know how it goes. My wife (the Canadian) had to fly out to Virginia this morning, so we had to delay her infopass appointment until Wednesday.

This is killing me! Our time is up and nothing yet. Almost 90 days for me.. #######? Anyway... please let me know how the infopass went AnnaC and am1996. Maybe we'll get ours soon but I keep hearing that for awhile and just tired and frustrated with this whole AP process. Aren't they suppose to like ramp up for the Holiday season? I mean...if they can't process applications that were filed in August... there is going to be some unhappy families out there. I hope we get an update soon on the process time as well. I'm keeping my fingers cross for this Thanksgiving travel but things are starting to look gloomy.

THey called Missouri and told me that within the next 7 days my AP will be approved. I hope that will happen!!!!

They also told me that my name check is really done and that I will get the stamp 100% after approval for traveling in December. Good to know that they give the stamps.

I wonder why it takes so long to approve an AP nowadays, I already saw people with NOAs of mid-September getting their APs approved!!! :(

I hope that we all will get our APs within the suggested 7 days....

They are saying that it'll be approved within the next 7 days because that's their processing timeline for I131's with our NOA dates. It'll then take another several days for the AP to arrive in the mail (in our case, we're scheduled to fly out to Canada on the 21st). This is getting tight.

That is good news Anna... looks like you won't have any problems traveling in December. I think I'm going setup an appointment for infopass as well and see what's going on with my application. It would be nice if we got all of our applications approved this week. But Anna, how did they know you were going to be approved in 7 days? I mean... what information do they have to determine that? I still can't believe AP takes this long to be approved though... very dissapointed with whole USCIS experience though. It's not like they are doing this for free you know....

The USCIS online system has just been updated to show that our AP was approved today. Now we just have to keep our fingers crossed that we'll actually receive it before our departure on the 21st!

Best of luck to all the other AP waiting game sufferers -- your approvals shouldn't be far behind.

3 months was what our previous two AP's took. Soon we'll be going for our third. the inequality of the process is what bothers me more than anything.
