Didn't Receive the NOA1

My fiance and I sent in the I-129 and everything needed for the K-1 Visa back in the end of November. We are living in China and sent everything from there. I mistakenly put my address here instead of my parents address in the States, which I realized would make things a little more difficult. I have yet to receive the first NOA. We need to get the final visa approval by August, but I don't think that will happen now. On 12/7, my bank showed that they cashed my $340 check I sent them. I would think they would have sent the NOA by now, since they got it so long ago.

Here is my real question. If I don't receive the NOA by the end of this month, I will assume it got lost in the mail. Is there anything I can do or anyone I can call? I wouldn't want to lose that $340 unless I had to. Getting a hold of the Visa people is difficult to do, as I have already tried when I first got here.

Thanks

Mitch

Did you sign up for sms or email notification? The only thing you can do is call USCIS and find out about your NOA1, you should have received it a few days after filing. Have a family member who is in the states call on your behalf. I have read here that some people fail to receive any mail because they used an overseas mailing address.

Hope you receive it soon, no need to wait till the end of the month to follow up on the issue. All the best!!

We didn't get NOA1 by mail, but we did get an email. If not, call USCIS ( you actually need to be physically present for the call) and get your case number.
