I have just read the guides and I am still a bit confused about the whole process.

I'm on a K1 visa and we are getting married in two weeks.

Do I have to get another medical done here in the US since I had one done in Ireland only two months ago?

Also at what stage can I return home to Ireland for a vacation? I was hoping to go back in June but I am confused about when I'll be able to?

Sorry if these are stupid questions, I can't find the answers anywhere and I'm starting to feel a bit overewhelmed by it all

You will not need another medical exam if it's only been 2 months since your K-1 medical exam. If it was longer than one year, then you would require a new one.

You will, however, require the Vaccination Supplement to submit with your AOS application. You can take your immunization records (or a copy of the vaccination worksheet if you have one from your K-1 medical exam) to a civil surgeon in your area and they will prepare the Supplement for you. Call around to find one that will do just the supplement, without requiring you to do another medical exam and also ask for prices, because they vary greatly.

When you submit your AOS application, you can submit the I-131 (Advance Parole) which will allow you to travel outside the U.S. and be readmitted upon your return. Without AP, you must have your Green Card to travel outside the U.S. AP is always approved sooner than AOS, so if you want to travel soon, you should probably apply for it along with your AOS.

Irish VJers in the US Check out and fill in you info :)

raymaga gives you all the info you need!! I think the AP takes about 3 months. I applied for it with my AOS the beginning of December and haven't heard anything yet, but I don't have any concrete plans for a visit back to Ireland until December.

Check out HERE to locate a Civil Surgeon. Shop around and be adamant that you do not require another full medical.
