Good morning ladies

We got more bad news last night. Tony's uncle died on Monday evening It was his dad's brother and he was pretty close to him growing up. I feel so bad for Tony. He wants to go down to JA for the funeral and to be with his dad and his family. We really can't afford it right now. The cheapest airfare I could find is $531 which isn't that bad for last minute, but we're still broke from our last trip I can't tell him NO, because I know if the situation were reversed I would want to be there for my family. He is supposed to decide today what he's going to do. Please keep us in your thoughts.

Thank you, thank you, thank you I used Sidestep as you suggested and found a flight for $401 - you saved me $130 I just booked Tony's flight - he leaves tomorrow (Thurs.) and comes home on Monday. Wish him luck please - it's his first time flying alone

That's correct. Every district office operates differently so it's better to make an appointment with your local office than calling USICS - in most cases.

We had an InfoPass appointment this morning to check on Damien's case. A little bit of good news, Damien's file was returned to USCIS from FBI (or whoever does the security clearance) yesterday so now we just have to wait for his approval. Wish us luck.

Well I already sent the package back to the USCIS, if there is another problem I will be scheduling an info pass appt...

I have finals in two weeks so studying has taken up my time. I am starting paperwork this week for our packet - but it looks like I might not meet self-imposed deadline of March 31 to get everything postdated.

I have a few questions:

1. Jamie - I'm going to send our medical info to the doc you listed - should I call them and let them know of my plans or just send everything off?

2. D has not gotten state id yet (still not in mail) so I can't add him to bank account, and I haven't changed my name yet. His SS card came with a letter that has our address on it as proof of him living here. Should I just send his SS letter and our marriage certificate as proof of union, or wait and get an account (utility bill, bank acct/etc.) and change my name on SS card as more proof?

3. For those that have already sent off paperwork - anything else I should know? I am really not looking forward to doing all this

Hello all from Sunny JA. We went to the embassy this morning, and picked up the appointment packet. Got a Medical appontment for the 31st. Of course the packet mentions payment for the Immigrant Visa which was already made to the NVC as well as the Affidavit of support that was also submitted to the NVC. I guess it will all work out.

I was talking to my friend the other day, the one who took the pictures and I said, "yeah, we would really love to see those wedding pictures someday." No lie -- this is what she said to me, "Oh, I want to see them too. Do you have them back yet?" I won't even go into the rest of our conversation.......but it involved her laughing hysterically and saying how stupid she was. That was last week. I still don't have them. See, it's not me!!!!

Michael sent ONE application out on Tuesday and they called him for an interview so he's going there tomorrow. It's at a motorsports sales center - I hope he gets it, he's so excited.

Big up to everyone else! There is just so many of us now!

Well I am surviving. Life just send you for a loop sometimes. Andre went for his drive test yesterday but we found out the brake lights weren’t working so they wouldn’t let him take the test. He is rescheduled for next Thursday. Still doing the job search thing. We are putting a resume together as we speak. He is currently doing some side work for a couple from church and it’s paying $8/hr so that’s a good start. It’s just sporadic and nothing that will last long but it has boosted the spirits. The only part that is bad is that I am now a full time chauffer shuttling him all over the place and I think my job is getting a little sick of it to be honest. He needs to get his license quick. Well this weekend we are putting up a 300ft fence for the dogs…the garage is just not cutting it and now that Andre is working in the days we really need something bigger and outdoors.

Try the Embassy website to get the form with the code. I believe that's the only place to get it. And yes, you MUST have the one with the code.

Jamie, it's so good to see you back I'm glad you're doing ok. Trust me, I totally understand what you mean about the chauffer thing We've all been there. I bought Tony a bike too like Mindy mentioned and that seemed to help a lot. At least he wasn't totally stuck without transportation. Hang in there, it gets better, I promise Even the small things will make you so grateful when they happen. Like when Tony finally got his license and we needed to pick up something for dinner or from the store and I could send him instead of ME always having to go. Good luck with the driver's test Andre!
