Hello

Does anyone know if the DS 156, really generates a code, I filled mine out and it doesnt generate one. Should I be worried about this?

Jill- I have worked for temp companies in the past. sometimes what happens is they drop the pay based on further scrutiny of the candidate application, or even of the candidate themself. Sometimes what may happen is the job they were going to offer is no longer available and they offer them another at a lower pay, or another he may be better qualified for. Either way that is a dangerous job, sometimes we dont pay close enought attention to those feelings and wind up in trouble. If your or your hubby still wants that job however, it would be better to contact that company directly and find out if there hiring. That way he gets the benefits of working with that company and maybe even a union.

Tennika - yeah, one of the websites listed in packet 3 will produce a barcode on the form. Maybe someone else can post the website, otherwise I can look it up when I get home.

hey people, i posted this over again. i thought i would be coming back on here with some good news. but im not, my husband failed because the blood test found weed in his system. so i have no idea what is next. and thats were things are right now. im still in disbelief after all this time. ok later. thanks for asking anyway..what advice do you have on this?

Hi Maria,

I'm very sorry to hear about the denial. I just got back from Jamaica yesterday and just now read and heard about the denial. As Anna may have told you, Kirk was denied in April 2005 with a 3 year ban. Please feel free to PM me if you'd like to talk. Again, I am truly sorry.

Jill

Try the Embassy website to get the form with the code. I believe that's the only place to get it. And yes, you MUST have the one with the code.

Try this: http://foia.state.gov/FORMS/visa/ds0156.pdf

I went into the Embassy website and it is there too. The problem is -- if I remember correctly, the barcode won't show up until you print it....

Well, Tony I delivered Tony successfully to the airport at 4:30am this morning  He made it to Washington DC for his layover and now he's en route to Jamaica. I'm jealous :P I know he's not going there for a vacation exactly, but I'm stuck at work and he's gonna be in 85 degree weather! This is just one more thing that sucks about long distance relationships. All his family and friends are so far away. I give him credit though - I could never move so far from MY family

This day is dragging :clock: . I've been here since 5am -_- And I have to work Saturday too  So much for a 2 day weekend!

Jamie, Rita, Elizabeth, Myisha - Where are you ladies??? We're going to send out a search party for you

Rhonda, so sorry to hear about your's and Tony's misfortune(F).

I will keep you both in my prayers, and way to go on those tickets.

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

Hi Everyone!

How is everyone doing?

Joanna and Adrian~ Glad to hear about the promotion! Don’t work to hard Joanna.

Squitto and Georgia~ Sorry to hear about the AOS troubles. Have you heard anything?

Rhonda~ Sorry for the loss. I hope Tony has a safe trip.

Jonesie~ Good luck with the finals girl!

Jill and Lake~ I agree that your gut instinct is what you should go with. I know Lake will find a job that suits him in due time

Mindy~ How is it going? How is Roy doing?

Jill~ Hope you had a great trip! I am sooo jealous of you all going to JA.

Julie~ Congrats on the EAD  Any ideas for a job for Michael? Tomorrow is the big day for finding out what gender the baby will be  Good Luck!

Good luck to the upcoming interviews!

Big up to everyone else! There is just so many of us now! :luv:

Well I am surviving. Life just send you for a loop sometimes. Andre went for his drive test yesterday but we found out the brake lights weren’t working so they wouldn’t let him take the test. He is rescheduled for next Thursday. Still doing the job search thing. We are putting a resume together as we speak. He is currently doing some side work for a couple from church and it’s paying $8/hr so that’s a good start. It’s just sporadic and nothing that will last long but it has boosted the spirits. The only part that is bad is that I am now a full time chauffer shuttling him all over the place and I think my job is getting a little sick of it to be honest. He needs to get his license quick. Well this weekend we are putting up a 300ft fence for the dogs…the garage is just not cutting it and now that Andre is working in the days we really need something bigger and outdoors.

Jamie :star:

Joanna -- So glad to hear Adrian is in the middle of the Pacific. I am sure he did just fine last night. Tell him we all wish him the best of luck.

Jamie -- Glad you checked in and things are going well. Soon Andre will be self-sufficient and life will get much easier. It's just so hard on them to have to rely on us for everything  I bought Roy a bike last weekend -- now he has transportation and feels really good about that.....even though it's 30 degrees here. He bundles up (no socks, mind you) and takes off. It's a good thing.

Don't know -- I think he is crazy :jest:

Actually, I don't wear socks so I know he got it from me -- but I have lived here my whole life and I am very used to the cold. He said it doesn't bother him -- BUT, he does wear one of those "Nanook of the North" hats -- you know the ones that come down and cover your ears -- his is olive green and lined with rabbit fur....it's a sight. I WILL take a picture!!
