We got more bad news last night. Tony's uncle died on Monday evening :(:crying: It was his dad's brother and he was pretty close to him growing up. I feel so bad for Tony. He wants to go down to JA for the funeral and to be with his dad and his family. We really can't afford it right now. The cheapest airfare I could find is $531 which isn't that bad for last minute,

RHODA: Sorry about all the difficulty you guys are presently experienceing. Have you triend sidestep.com, it compares all of the sites for the lowest fair. Hope all works out.

I'm so sorry to Rhonda :( - I hope you guys can work something out to get him back home.

---OK, just saw the deal you found on your ticket - I'm glad you could save some money!

Good morning ladies

We got more bad news last night. Tony's uncle died on Monday evening :(:crying: It was his dad's brother and he was pretty close to him growing up. I feel so bad for Tony. He wants to go down to JA for the funeral and to be with his dad and his family. We really can't afford it right now. The cheapest airfare I could find is $531 which isn't that bad for last minute, but we're still broke from our last trip :( I can't tell him NO, because I know if the situation were reversed I would want to be there for my family. He is supposed to decide today what he's going to do. Please keep us in your thoughts.

Squitto,

Could you schedule an InfoPass appointment for this type of situation?

Good question. I don't know. Actually, I don't even know what an infopass appointment is

Ms. Squitto,

I believe the InfoPass allows you to make an appointment to meet with someone from immigration who should be able to help with some of the complex situations that come up. Check out the information on the website and see if you think InfoPass will help. If so, you should be able to make an appointment via the website.

https://infopass.uscis.gov/info_en.php

Lee

That's correct. Every district office operates differently so it's better to make an appointment with your local office than calling USICS - in most cases.

We had an InfoPass appointment this morning to check on Damien's case. A little bit of good news, Damien's file was returned to USCIS from FBI (or whoever does the security clearance) yesterday so now we just have to wait for his approval. Wish us luck.

Hey everyone!

I have finals in two weeks so studying has taken up my time. I am starting paperwork this week for our packet - but it looks like I might not meet self-imposed deadline of March 31 to get everything postdated.

Rhonda/Tony, Squittos, Papcawn/Richie - you are in my prayers.

taken from the Wayans Bros

Mo Money! Mo Money! Mo Money!

Congrats Jojo and Adrian!

I have a few questions:

1. Jamie - I'm going to send our medical info to the doc you listed - should I call them and let them know of my plans or just send everything off?

2. D has not gotten state id yet (still not in mail) so I can't add him to bank account, and I haven't changed my name yet. His SS card came with a letter that has our address on it as proof of him living here. Should I just send his SS letter and our marriage certificate as proof of union, or wait and get an account (utility bill, bank acct/etc.) and change my name on SS card as more proof?

3. For those that have already sent off paperwork - anything else I should know? I am really not looking forward to doing all this :crying:

Of course the packet mentions payment for the Immigrant Visa which was already made to the NVC as well as the Affidavit of support that was also submitted to the NVC. I guess it will all work out.
