Just got off the phone with the Embassy. NIckiesha has an Interview on April 7th. Now if I can just extend my stay that long... It's a couple days longer than I have vacation time left.

:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Yay! This is a great friday!

Well I also just got off the phone with the embassy also and they said they do not have an interview date for Adrian yet...they said that April interviews are already scheduled and that he will probally get a May date...she said call back between April 12-15th...WHAT!!!

That really sucks butt  ...I am going to call every Friday till they give us a date....

Sorry but Tenika I am very jealous...you just flew through this process .... But I guess there is a reason and the lord has a plan for us.

But on a good note Adrian is being promoted to a bar server and will make more $$$$$$...I told him just to bust butt and make as much money as he can right now...he will make like 15% of what he sells in drinks (which is more them what he makes now)...I told him to flirt with the ladies to try and make more money :whistle::lol:

CONGRATS ERIC!!!

Joanna

no worries, you'll probably luck out on the aos end and not have to wait very long! :luv:

Congratulation to Eric and Tenika. Joanna, you're next. When will Adrian be near Jamaica? Maybe that has something to do with the interview schedule.

He won't be near Jamaica anytime soon, his ship is doing 14 night cruises from California to Hawaii and back to California....May 7th his ship leaves Cali and goes up to Alaska...I hope we will at least know his interview date soon...he will leave the ship and return to JA about 3 weeks before his interview to complete everything, i will go down to JA for a couple weeks for the interview and then as soon as he gets his visa he will come here. So I dont think that has anything to do with the interview date.

This is just a mini vent, but all the talk of centralizing got me thinking. why do people filing through dallas get the opportunity to adjust their status and receive a greencard within 90 days. that's lets me know that it can be done, so why not just make it that simple and quick for EVERYBODY

Sure Joanna:

This prayer is for everyone with an immigration situation:

Lord I know barriers to immigration are not your will. Like when you told Joseph to take Jesus from Bethlehem to Nazareth because people were seeking his life. Father you made all people and love has no barrier..therefore Lord I am asking that according to your will that every immigration barrier that is postponing the covenant of matrimony to be broken down..In the name of Jesus. I pray for speed in the processing of all AOS, Fiance and Spousal visas to those who will recieve this prayer. You said if I ask according to your will it will be granted. There fore here my prayer according to your devine will and let your name be glorified in the process. In Jesus name Amen.

Yes Tenika there is a $100US fee that has to be paid at a paymaster in JA...you just have to have the recipt for the $100US fee at the interview...so you can do it anytime before the interview.

We had to pay the same fee last year when we tried to get Adrian a visitors visa.

Oh yeah and thanks for the prayer....we all need it here (L)

Congrats to Adrian on the promotion. You crack me up with the flirting thing

Thanks Rhonda, yeah I told him he can flirt but nothing else  , as long as he is getting tips for it I dont mind  ... we surely can use the money and he can surely put on the charm. I told him we only have one goal in mind when it comes to work and that is to have some money saved when he gets here :thumbs:

I probably should be more 'up' on this but why would it have been easier to get married and filed a K-3? And how is it that Dallas filers can do what others can't?

...better start reading up on this.

Congratulations Eric! - I can't imagine how excited you must be after such a long wait.

What's everyones plans for the weekend? I'm finally going to buckle down and do my taxes. :crying: Everyone else have a great weekend!

Keep your chin up and do what you have to do!! I really have to do some research beyond K-1 filing; but I have to ask why would they start doing background checks so late in the 'game' so to speak?

After I complete my taxes I really have to study up and :guides::yes:

Keeping you in my thoughts...

Thank you thank you all.:dance::dance:

It's not the K-3 that Ms Squitto was refering to I believe she was refering to the I-130 filed before the K-3. It appears that more priority is placed on these going through than a couple years ago. Sometimes they are approved around the same time. Conditionial Green card and SS card in the mail in a couple weeks. No Adjustment Of Status to deal with. Of course back in the days when I originally filed it took around 15 months, the K-3 was really needed back then.

I just hope this is an end to the madness...

Yes, but I suspect they will let me work out of the Kingston office, time will tell, but I probably won't be back from Jamaica until the 8th. I wish I could have taken the flight with her, but it makes no sense to fly back and forth for 6 days back in the states.
