I need a little advice from you ladies. We received our interview letter the other day after only 2 months. I am not complaining, however, as many of you know, our twins are due next month right around the interview date.

Should I call and try to reshedule, or should I just wait and see as we get closer to the interview if I will have delivered by then or not? I dont want to risk them recheduling me for 6 months from now becasue we are so grateful to have gotten the interview so quick. :help:

I would wait and see what happens. You don't want to reschdule and you haven't delivered yet. And like I said to Papcawn, (IMO) being pregnant or having kids together is the best proof of relationship.

Good luck!

Well, I signed up Lake for a forklift driving class today. He did really well and got his certificate, I am hoping the fact that he is doing things like this will impress prospective employers! :)

Good luck Lake! And congrats on the Math section of GED

Hi everybody,

I'm stuck at work on this beautiful, warm Saturday night :crying: To top things off I have a new boss who is a total pain in the butt. He wants me to work Sunday too :ranting: As if 6 days a week isn't enough?!! It's a constant uphill battle at this job. I hate it.

Anyway, going back to catch up. Hope everyone is doing well.

That is insane! Will your schedule always be so hectic?

Happy birthday Ann (F)

SJB - is this your 4th trip to JA this year? How you get so much vacation time? I hope you both have a wonderful time!

Thanks for the flowers! I really worked hard today in the union office. The employees where I work have a lot of problems. It felt good doing the Lord's work. They were happy to see me back at the office.

Jax - two of my good friends are visa specialists and they said two of many reasons why Kingston is a high fraud is because 1) Jamaicans with visas (student, tourist, work, etc) have a higher overstay rate than other Embassies. They come here and never return and 2) Jamaicans tend to marry just for the visas. A high rate of fraud marriages. There are other reasons but not sure what they are.

That makes sense if they have the evidence to back it up. What are the numbers? Unfortunately, some people get put in a box just because of where they came from, or their color. Where can we find the statistics as compared to others?

You all packed yet girl??? I wish I could go too.

I'm sure they have evidence and statistics. All of the approvals and denials from every Embassy comes to their office...they print the visas. Not interested in the numbers fraud happens everywhere..not just Jamaica. I trust their word because they've been in their jobs in many years and worked in consular sections all over the world. This is information they shared while I was going through the process.

Yes, I am packed and ready to go. Are you enjoying your birthday?

Do the numbers really matter to you? Roy himself has told me plenty of stories about Jamaican men who intentionally have "used" American, British and Canadian women just to get the visa. Yes, fraud does happen everywhere. Unfortunately Jamaica happens to be one of the countries they pay more attention to. It's a fact of life that we just have to deal with. Like it or not.

Are proffesor had warned us before we made our trips that some JA men would use woman to get to the USA. Dwain is not using me it is true so long and it took him long enough to get his birthcertificate lets see he got 6 years after I asked him to get  I know fraud is high everywhere my girlfriend from Serbia wanted to find a US man before the camping season was over and she found a guy got preganant and he married her. So it can happen all over the world. I also have a JA friend who never went back to JA and has overstayed his stay for 4 years now. So I understand the reasoning.

Ultimately, prayer is your best protection. Going through marriage without prayer is like walking a high wire without a safety net. Always remember that prayer succeeds when all else fails.
