Jax - two quick things - El Greco is on the same side as the Wexford but up in the hills so it's across from the beach - it's very quiet. Their pool is really nice...we have gone swimming the middle of the night plenty of times. Enjoy your stay at the Wexford...it's in a good location.

As far as the Congressman....we had to get our Congressman involved our case and we were told wrong info so please listen to everyone's advice. Just remember that Kingston is a high fraud Embassy so I wouldn't risk anything and the State Department has the final say. Visas are not guaranteed.

The villa is beautfiul. Best wish to you.

Thanks for the advice. The Wexford was about 40 dollars cheaper a night so we went with it. I couldn't change Dwains mind he was set on it. Tried to tell him about El Greco and he said no. So hard head he is  at times.

Called Dwain tonight and he said something was up with the electric company and their was no power were he was. He said he thinks they cut off power to the whole island. Talk about a corrupt country. Does anyone elses guys have electricity right now? It stinks we couldn't have are nightly talk.

We got the "Welcome To America" letter today.....it's all very, very surreal. Hope everyone has a great weekend. It is hotter than a witch's ####### here

Hi everybody,

I'm stuck at work on this beautiful, warm Saturday night :crying: To top things off I have a new boss who is a total pain in the butt. He wants me to work Sunday too :ranting: As if 6 days a week isn't enough?!! It's a constant uphill battle at this job. I hate it.

Anyway, going back to catch up. Hope everyone is doing well.

That is totally a bummer. 7 days is a little much. Sorry to hear that your boss isn't the greatest Rhonda.

Yes that will make him look better. Congrats on Lakes certificate. Happy job searching all the best! :)

Kimone-I'm not sure what I would do. Perhaps call and explain the situation at the office where you will be interviewing and see what they think. I agree with Rhonda though that it would be a risk if you rescheduled.

Jax-very nice villa! Are you renting the whole villa out for your US guests? Is everyone going to fit?

Mindy congratulations!! Now you can take a breather for a while.

Good morning all.

Jax - I truly understand. They wouldn't give us the local rate our last trip because it was off season. Maybe they stopped it altogether.

A little bit of good news - Damien's passed the written part of the drivers licence test :dancing: . It took forever because it's mandatory in Maryland to take a two week classroom session. It was hard to schedule due to his work hours. Not to mention it took him four months just to get his driver's permit because you have to make an appointment if you're not a US citizen. He will take the road lessons sometime in August.

And Damien talked to some old friends from in Mo Bay who live in the area. He really looks forward to linking up with them very soon. I've never seen him so excited....he is grinning from ear to ear. And I guess it wouldn't hurt that he's going home from July 20-31. We were suppose to come back on the 24th but his job gave him an extra week off so I changed his flight home. I may stay an extra two nights so we can have to alone time in JA...somewhere away from MoBay.

Jax-very nice villa! Are you renting the whole villa out for your US guests? Is everyone going to fit?

Hi Michelle how is everything going? How is the unpacking going? The villa is holding all the US guest and Dwain and I. Yes all 19 of us will fit. One person gets a rollaway bed if they can't move the bed from the 2nd level to the first. We have to stick a crib in one of the rooms. I think we have a couple people staying over night when we have the rehersal dinner 3 or 4 more we will make everyone fit.

My wedding corrdinator is fabolus she said we couldn't get our certified wedding certificate until 2 months from the date. But she looked into and we are getting them expediate before we leave. Thank you Elizabeth for recomennding me to ask about a fast service.

Jax - I truly understand. They wouldn't give us the local rate our last trip because it was off season. Maybe they stopped it altogether.

Yeah I don't think they are budgetting their prices at all cause of the off season and I all I really need is airconditiong and a refrigrator. Dwains mom usual makes us food and sends it down from the hills. Hopefully I will only have one more trip down to JA before he comes up.

So far I am packing my fourth suitcase full of wedding supplies and that should be it. Makeing the older folk in their 50's carry all my stuff. Now I am collecting orders from all my Almuni Herbert Morrison friends and getting set. 16 days to go until I am down. Dwain wants to take off work win I first arrive on Wed. So Donavan better not make him work at Maurgaritville. I guess I could go watch him play if that were the case but I make him nervous playing I just don't understand why I have never played a bass in my life. I majored in music so have a clue about technical things. But I relax and don't listen to all that jumbo. Getting excitided.

Everyone I am off to my cousins 1st brithday party and then my uncles suprise 60th birthday. I have dressed light for the occassion since it is going to reach a 100 degrees soon and the heat index they said should feel like 110 degrees near Chicago IL. I guess I should get use to this since thats how hot it may be for our wedding. Dwain said it was like 104 there yesterday with the heat index. Crazy and I teach tommorrow in it with no air and I can just hear the kids now ugh. Have a wonderful Sunday to all of u stay cool!
