Just wanted to stop by and let you all know that the online caribbean marketplace www.sams247.com is having a sale on shipping. No matter how much you order ground shipping is only $5.99 no matter where you live. I have ordered from them before and I was pretty impressed and for those of us living no where near JA stuff its nice for you SO (and for you ) to have a little taste of JA. The sale is good through the 16th. Check it out

Hey Michele, Thanks again for reminding me about the marriage certificate.

We get the signed one that day and I can bring it back and change my name. The offical one I wont get until 2 months from the date in October. For all of those who did K3's could u use the signed one or did u have to wait for the offical copy?

I used the signed one to get drivers license and social security card. I got the official one a little over a month later. It only took that long because they mailed it to Trevor first, then he mailed it to me. I used that for the I130 and 129F.

Thank you Drucilla for helping me out :) . I guess I will have Dwain mail me the certificate too. How did Trevor send it to you? What type of mail service? Because Dwains letters sometimes don't make it here and I would get a little bit worried if the Marriage License got lost. Wow I trully wasn't suspecting to change my name this quick either. May be I should tell my boss to go ahead and order my new name sign. I didn't expect the students to call me Mrs. Brown yet either. That will be really weird to have them calling me by that last name since he won't be here until who knows when.

Take care,

Jax

I think you would need a certified "official" copy to file for your visa. Is there anyway they can expedite it? Two months seems a little long to me.

Make sure that you get at least 2 certified copies. Have Dwain send it by Fed-ex or some other "guaranteed" overnight service. I still have regular Jamaican postal mail floating around somewhere from Tristan that was sent in December of last year

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." - Mother Theresa

Thanks Michele I will make sure and ask if I can get the license any quicker. I will request 2 also. Maybe I need to send Dwain to see Rev. Pitkin for us. He knows the Rev our wedding corrdinator got us. I need to PM Elizabethnhenery she went through the same wedding corrdinator so I am sure she can tell me what will happen with the wedding certificate. I really don't want to wait 2 months cause that makes like a year until we are togther. Hmmm :crying: I really don't want that to be the case so I will keep my hopes high (F)

Oh man what didn't I buy

I got saltfish, all sorts of seasonings (jerk, curry, escovietch, all purpose, pimentos, chicken, browning), yellow yam, pumpkin, green bananas, chicken sausages in a can (Andre loves them  ), ####### soup mix, corned beef, water crackers, jerk marinade and a whole lot of HOT pepper sauce. All Grace brands of course  We wouldn’t have it any other way at our house

and thats just the stuff I can remember  Not to mention how much of each I got :innocent:
