Ugh <_<:dead:

I am supposed to be in class but ain't feelin it today

Anyone wanna contribute to my SEND JONESIE (A STRESSED COLLEGE STUDENT AND WORKER) BACK TO JAMAICA FOR AN OVERDUE VACATION fund? I accept Paypal, Western Union, Moneygram, and money orders :P

:lol::lol::lol: , I would love to contribute but :( I am on tight financial schedule for my wishful thinking interview in September.

Good morning all.

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." - Mother Theresa

Don't be so hard on yourself...during this process we're all bound to make even the simplest mistake. When you're looking over the same form over and over again sometimes things just go right over your head! This immigration stuff is making everyone nutty  Good luck with the infopass appointment. In the meantime, get Roy a nice wig and some pumps :luv:

Thanks guys.......I am taking this so much harder than Roy is. He actually had a dream that they messed up his fingerprints and we had to do it over again. I'm just sick to my stomach.....

Now, if he starts having baby dreams I'm really in trouble

Squitto -- I am so #######, you guys know that. I looked all the forms over a MILLION times. I even had the girl who used to work with me (okay, she was dumber than a box of rocks, but...) look over all the forms. We didn't catch it. Oh well. Nothing I can do now but they tell me I have to do.

I guess it's better that I made the mistake instead of USCIS. Even if they made it, it still wouldn't make the process of getting a new card any easier.

ok, I am officially frustrated. Today must be a "day of calling and not getting anything accomplished" kinda days!

I have made about 15 phone calls, and all I ever get is a machine, or someone is out til Wednesday kind of thing.

THE WORST was I AGAIN tried to call AOL to cancel a 6 month free subscription, and after being patient cuz I actually had TIME to fart around and wait today...after 45 minutes of being on hold, I tell the cancellation department I want to cancel and he tells me they are upgrading their system and so they cant do it today and so I need to call back in two days! I really think they give you such a runaround so you will end up just paying for it out of frustration! The first time they told me I had to have my hubby avail since I signed up in HIS name, and he was in class that day, so I couldnt, the other two times I didnt have the patience to wait the 45 minute hold time. ARGGGGH!

I am so glad you said that! I was just talking about that very thing just the other day. I ordered something and they kept talking and talking to me about all these other "special offers" that I am going to get and I can try them free for one month then cancel. I told her I didn't want them to begin with....she said, "okay" then went along with the rest of her "sphiel."

Can't wait till I get to try to cancel all those "special offers." I just know they are going to make it really hard on me to cancel. I should save your post so I can just re-post it in 30 days

Good evening family,

I had the most lazy, laid back day ever. I stayed in bed all day! Funerals always leave me depressed and I had to take a vacation at home from everything and everybody.

Congrats Squitto on everything :dance::dance::dance:

Hi Woogie,

I see you're getting some action finally!!

Wow, what a slow day. I finally gave up trying to get any information (was calling the local college, turns out they also have ESL classes in Nursing, Welding, Truck Driving, Computers, etc for FREE to kind of let them see what they might be interested in. They are supposed to mail me some info...WHY dont I find these things out until its almost too late??? Sheesh.

Then I was also calling Catholic Social Services to see if they offer the GED test for free, I know they offer some kinds of services, just not sure what.

Also called our local Action Program, they offer computer classes and I think free bus tickets, not sure what else, but I only found a flyer on it couple weeks ago.

Lake has REALLY been moving in math, we HOPE he can take his math GED in a couple weeks. He went up 1.9 grades in ONE WEEK! He is at 10.1 (or was last Thursday, he tells me he is at 15 now... ) and so he is almost ready if he can use a calculator.

Sadly, the rest of them, its gonna take a while, the guy just rules at math.

Hey Mindy-Don't beat yourself up...we all make mistakes....

Marsha- You should be getting your approval any day now!!! I predict an appointment in Kingston in August.....Since you are filing a I-130 with I-129F, you should not be affected by IMBRA. Currently, the IMBRA law is only affecting Fiancee Visa's filed after March 6th. Speaking of that....how ya doing Miss Shauna???? At least you will be in Jamaica soooooonn....

Speaking of that...I leave tomorrow......YEAH!!!!!! Can not wait another minute.....the folks at work are getting on my last nerve.....why do sooo many people have funky breath and try to be all in my face....this one guy at work smells like he sucks on a poop-popsicle for breakfast every morning and has nerve to get all in my face today......I had to stop and say a prayer.......the Lord knows I need a vacation!!!! :help::help:

Well....it actually took 32 minutes but I finally got through to the lovely and talented Brandon. He said we have to completely refile the application -- $180.00 and all.....and possibly another Biometrics fee too!! Then, we go to the back of the line......

I am going to keep the InfoPass appointment for tomorrow morning. I don't mind refiling -- if that's what I have to do -- BUT -- I can't imagine that we are going to have to wait another 80-something days to get the corrected EAD. Roy is just going to kill me. Right now, he's not mad at all -- even though it was me who made the mistake.

YEAH, GO AHEAD -- GIVE IT TO ME!!

I used the form from here on VJ.....the one where the example is a woman. Yup, didn't change that check mark and didn't notice it either. Oh well......no lose of life....at least not yet

:angry: No they did not say for you to refile. I would just wait for the AOS approval :blink: They are crazy. :bonk:

I did some shopping, watched a movie, on Sat. my sister had a little get-together for her birthday. Yesterday Tony got his hair braided then we went to visit Jackie & Craig (our U.S./Jamaican couple friends). The weather was a bit too chilly for me, but at least we had no rain.

Mindy, Anna, Shamonya...Anyone else who we have not seen: Go to Walmart, Walgreens, Kmart. buy the cheapest digital camera they have, take a picture of your self save it on your computer. And send us a gob darn picture!!!! OR go to "Save a lot" Yes gob darn it I am cheap.... If you don't know it by now. buy a camera 2.99 might be less, takes some pictures, when you have them developed get them with a disk, put the disk in the computer and send us a picture :P Or go to the library you can use the disks there as well to up link them to sites like snapfish, Walgreens, Walmart what ever. I want to see a picture of Mindy with her crazy sef :lol::lol: I think that I have covered all the excuses :hehe:
