The immigration officer was really nice - it was such a simple interview and fast. We were back out to our car at 8:20am.

We can now only hope that all the interviews to come are as nice as your was. Congratulations, again! We are all so proud of the three of you!!! (L)

ladies ( especially the K3 and CR1s),

I would like to know if I have to change my passport over to my married name before the interview ?

Also, I don' t recall where I heard this but should my husband go and change his status in his passport from single to married?

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Elizabeth are you out there???....Can you sub. All purpose flour for corn flour???? I'm trying to make oxtail stew

NEIN! NYET! NO! LOL

I don't think that would work - even finely milled corn flour has a richer texture than wheat flour. Do you have any peas in the house? You can probably mash them and that will thicken the stew. I am not an oxtail expert though - I just know from making arepas (a south american/indian corn pancake) that the two flours are totally different when you cook em.

I dont believe that it is necessary, but it might score you points with the interviewer. They did not ask Henry for a copy of my passport although I gave him one.

Henry's passport still says single. As does mine. We'll change it eventually.

I know you asked Elizabeth but I am being nosey .......srry :innocent: , I always use the juice from the beans when I put them in the oxtail to thicken it, that works but if you have mashed potatoe you could use a little of that as a thickener. What also work is Lawry's gravy master it makes the oxtail darker and it thickens it abit too.

Elizabeth thanks very much.
