Yeah that is Two for Tuesdays!

I see nothing wrong with having family or friends "cater". I have been to MANY weddings that were done that way.... you select a SMALL but willing group, create a menu and then assign a part to each person. You go to COSTCO or wherever - get all the raw food and divide it up. If you can get to Brooklyn go to Chefs Choice on Utica and.................I forget the cross street. Anyway Chefs Choice or Blue Star sells the warming trays and that fuel stuff to keep the food warm in the kitchen at the reception. And you are all set. Now all you need are servers. You will be fine.

And do NOT worry about what anyone else thinks. I did that and made myself ill and no matter how much I planned....things still went wrong and people still talked...I was spending too much money....I was a waster.....I was this I was that....rey rey rey. So do what you need to do and focus on you and Rohan.

Marsha - yes we sometimes use coconut milk in the rice and peas. But we have tried to skip it every now and then to cut back on the fat.

And you are speaking my curry language!! I kept telling Henry that as a Guyanese, sticky rice is a must for the curry - it has to absorb the curry, as Andre said...it soaks up he gravy. You see mi?! But Henry just does this .LOL

This is unrelated but funny. My dad asked me what I was doing and I said I am online. He said "oh I hear voices in the background, I figured you were watching those soap box operas."

you know what works weel with sticky rice too oxtail with just the right amount of beans ( dang Iam going home to cook tonight- my son is gonna go wild because all he wants is cereal and pizza)

How the rice and peas come out wiht out the milk, I find it so hard to eat rice and peas without coconut milk so I just don't cook it unless it is a special occasion. But Sundaydinner is really not dinner without rice & peas.

Yeah. I did the outdoor thing and it rained. I am STILL hurt. LOL I was like why Lord why. And my stepmonster kept saying "showers of blessings. Showers of blessings." But we had a lot of Henry's peeps and a handful of mine who were against the wedding....they had a good laugh at our expense...they said it was God showing his disapproval. Poor God...He gets blamed for everything. But the housekeeper at the house we rented said rain was a good thing. So I am gonna go with that even though it broke my heart.

Moral of the story: get a tent!

To my knowledge the JA citizen has to request it, as the police dept. needs passport photos and proof of ID to grant police report
