Afternoon All, What are you all doing Memorial Weekend?

Wish us luck.....we are suppose to go to a barbeque on Sunday -- it's at my father's cousin's house. We (me and my parents) go every year -- they are alot of fun. The issue is.....my mother has only met Roy once, my father has never met him....and, none of the cousins have ever met him. The cousins all knew about him and were very supportive from the beginning. We'll see if we even make it there....I might chicken out beforehand.

And of course you know to a JA and a Trini if you stir rice with a spoon you WILL go to hell. So Christians, use a fork if you want to see Jesus. :lol:

Roy...is that you? Stop pretending to be Elizabeth!!! :lol: :lol:

:lol: ooops! Busted!! :lol::lol:

Question:

Does your man really know how to swim or does he just play inna di wata? :lol:

We went snorkeling and the water was about 15 feet deep, if not more. I cannot swim to save my life. He claimed he could. We get out of the water and guess who had on lifevest, and wouldn't let go of the side of the boat? :whistle::lol:

Damien too. It drives me :wacko: And he make a sandwich out of everything. When he first got here, I came home from work and he was eating lasgnsa (sp) sandwich. Then I asked how many slices of bread he had that day and he said 12!!! My a@@ got bigger just from listening.

A loaf of bread lasts about 4 days - in a good week. For somebody that don't like sandwiches, he sure love bread. I don't like white but I buy that for him.

Crackin up @ lasagna sandwich!

:lol: We went snorkeling on our last trip and Damien decided that he didn't want to get in the water at the last minute. Some water got in my mask so I started choking - I looked up and he was still chillin' on the boat. He probably didn't want to mess up his hair or his new outfit :angry: Yes there was a lifeguard out there but still :bonk:

Marsha - yes we sometimes use coconut milk in the rice and peas. But we have tried to skip it every now and then to cut back on the fat.

And you are speaking my curry language!! I kept telling Henry that as a Guyanese, sticky rice is a must for the curry - it has to absorb the curry, as Andre said...it soaks up he gravy. You see mi?! But Henry just does this :huh: .LOL

This is unrelated but funny. My dad asked me what I was doing and I said I am online. He said "oh I hear voices in the background, I figured you were watching those soap box operas." :lol::lol::whistle:

Question:

Does your man really know how to swim or does he just play inna di wata? :lol:

My man is part seal! He LOVES to swim and swims really far out and does water gymnastics to scare me (so does my brother). Henry also moons me from the middle of the ocean like a dolphin...you know dives in the air and shows his bum when he's heading back down into the water. He likes to moon me even at home. :whistle: I must pray for the boy. One labor day I was in JA and he said oh I know your cousins are on that parkway place (Labor Day Parade in Brooklyn) dancing and you miss them. So let me help you feel like the parkway(mind you I had never done EParkway on Labor Day). He came out the shower and mooned me while dancing some what a bam bam song. Then ran back in the shower. :lol::lol:

You know I didn't realize how much Henry tries to make me laugh. I usually just :huh: . But I have to make an attempt to ENJOY his trying to make me laugh.

It would have been real nice, if us East Coast peeps could have planned something over the Holiday Weekend. We should make a date and set a plan any one down? Or how about a annual yardie board weekend gathering. I would really love to meet all you ladies and your husbands/Fiances -one day.
