Been to Negril...there are some really nice places there. If you're looking for a resort, I've heard good things about

Kuyaba

Legends

Samsara

I've stayed in apartments in Negril (if you want the info link me) because I like the option of a kitchen in my place.

I've never really done the whole tourist/resort thing in Jamaica, neither has Squito for that matter. Initially we wanted to go somewhere that neither of us has been for our honeymoon after our big wedding in July, but I'm concerned about visa and other entry issues. We've since decided that we'll go to Jamaica for a week in July and have the tourist/resort experience. I'm hoping that Squito's AP is received by then. I know many of you have done the whole resort thing, so I'm interested in some reviews.

I'm interested in going to Negril (since Squito's never been and I've only been there once when I was like 11). Can any of you recommend any good hotels/resorts in Negril?? Kelly, where are you???

Funny because I was thinking about extending our trip in July - maybe stay in Negril or Ochi for a few nights after the Sumfest.

Most of my trips are in MoBay. But I've stayed in Negril once and found it very romantic. Air Jamaica screwed up and put us in a very nice resport - Couples Swept Away. It was a huge problem we were a group of 14 single females  . I've been on many day trips to Negril so I don't know many resorts. It's quiet, romantic and laid back.

Our wedding is Saturday July 15th, and I noticed that Sumfest starts on the 16th!! Maybe we'll go to Mobay instead

Thank you all for the suggestions about places in Negril. I will be looking into all of them. JA here we come!!

Hey..... I'm here, just playing a trillion page catch-up.

Anyway, if you need info or help with the package please email me at -

a-and-k-travel@verizon.net as I hardly have anytime to get on the VJ site and my email is up and running all day.

I know Negril extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemely well as I've been going there for the past 10 yrs. I've stayed alllllll over Negril, seen and stayed in 99% of the places there so I'm very familiar with most.

Next week, I'm staying at Craig's place (in Bluefields / South coast area) for the 1st time (he lives with his mom and some cousins), should be veeeeeery interesting. His mom and I get along --well, at least over the phone, but I've never had the opportunity to meet her. It's going to be such a "rush" trip, cause we're going to head over and stay in Kingston for the night, before the interview.

So, please email me........I'm still here to help arrange trips, honeymoons, cruises, airline tickets, etc etc for ALL of my fellow VJ'rs !!!

It's just WAY to nice to be staying in today and I just have soooo much to catch up on. When you tell your clients you're going away, they think I'm never coming back !!

Kelly

Thanks!! I'll be in touch :luv:

Ok, now I am even MORE ticked at my husband. I had hung one of my comforters outside on the clothes line and put 4 clothes pins in it, so it wouldnt fall on the ground, its windy and it rained last nite, so there is mud on the ground. I asked him to please put the second one out, since they are soooo heavy ($150 comforters), and what did he do, he threw it over the line and took two of the clothes pins out of the original one, so I just looked out, five minutes after he did it, and there they BOTH were laying in the mud. :crying::crying::crying: I HAD four clothespins on for a REASON!!! The back door with more pins was 4 steps away, for pity sake...

Ms. S - most hotels in Mobay are sold out during the sumfest, I believe. We're going the last three days of the Sumfest - the best nights Dancehall and International nights. go to reggaesumfest.com when you get a chance.

Thats the thing, Jamie, these cant be washed, they are super expensive and super heavy and have to be either hung out to air, or washed off with a wash cloth and then hung out, sooooo...all that work for naught! :crying: Sometimes, my man turns into a stupid, typical American male, that doesnt think! He is normally very thoughtful of those kinda things. Sigh....
