Good morning (F)

Joanna I woke up thinking about you this morning, don't know why.... are you feeling better????

Please don't get mad when I say this...I'm sure that you don't have a case of cold feet, but like everyone else has has said well all went through it. Can you image your life without this person in it? That was the deciding factor for me. Knowing that when I picked up the phone a smile came over my face and I had no control over it :D .I just wanted to add that he is giving up a lot to come here to be with you. This is very serious. I can image what he is going to feel like if you bring dought to the table this early on. You to have a long way to go. Also in marriages we are supposed to stand alone..... independent of all others except god of course...I know you are and your family are close...just remember it's time to let go... Your parents love you they will always be there you. You are very blessed, remember though you are their little girl and they are not going to be as easy forgiving as you are to your hubby...somethings they should not know...This is not a easy process, I take that back most things they should not know...I learned that the hard way  These are just my opinions. I hope that I did not offend you in anyway (F) DEE

Can you image your life without this person in it?
I have to agree with Dee here, I too get a smile on my face and little butterflies in my stomach everytime I think I am going to call Paul. It ti also true that youi need to stand alone and make decisions on you own free will. The things I tell you guys here my family don't know. Yes they are Jamaican but they (especially my mom and older sister) think that Paul only married me to get his paper- what they dont now is I propose not him B) . But if the were to find that out they would propable say that he thought I was desperate and couldn't get anyone and felt sorry for me.

((((((((((((Joanna)))))))) no matter what you decide we wil be here for you. God wil take care of things so put it in his hands.

Good morning

((Jamie)) I will keep you all in prayer.

Marsha - congrats on the arrival of your I129!

Rhonda - thanks for moving me down some more

Thanks Jonesie

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

Good Morning (F)

I hate to kill the mood so early in the morning but we got some bad news last night. Our beloved pastor in Jamaica died. He was the one who took Andre in and trained him up in church, his son and Andre are the best of friends. This is also the man who took me in and allowed me to stay in his home for months at a time and watched out for me. He taught me the ways of Jamaica and the ways of God. I was baptized in his church and truly came to know God through this man and his preaching. He had been sick for many years with strokes and other ailments but no one saw this coming...he had been hanging on for so long.

To make things even harder on his family (he has 11 children) one of his daughters and her husband gave birth to their first baby only hours after he was gone. So if you could all please say a prayer for their family and the community as well as Andre and myself. It is really hard to go through this 3,000 miles away and as much as we would like to go down for the funeral we don't have the funds nor does Andre have his greencard. Thanks in advance for the prayers...I know they will be powerful (L)

Jamie

Jamie,

I am sorry to hear of the lost. Encourage your spirit some with the fact that this beloved man of God, is now in a place where the ailements that attacked his body for so long will not trouble him anymore, and the life he lived for God, he is now recieving his reward. Stand strong around your husband and help encourage him with this knowledge.

the fat part of me says boiled yam, sweet potato and/or some other root. the part of me that wants to eat more veggies says: steamed broccoli, cauliflower, zuchinni - i have had it both ways and while the root starches are more comforting - the veggies once they are not too soft work well. Henry has also done rice and gungo peas as a side.

Speaking of peas, I need a recipe for Bajan doved peas.

Thanks everyone for the replies, I will check the sites out. I will try my best to make some of the dishes Rohan loves, but I told him he must understand, I am an born and grown American, and have no idea how to make many of the dished he loves, even if I tried it , it will probably still not taste like what he is used to. Besides I told him. rice in America is a side dish not a Main meal  . It is beyond me how he pile up his plate with enough rice for everyone and then add some meat in the midst of the moutian of rice. :o

Jamie,

I'm truly sorry for your loss. It sounds as if he really opened up his heart to both you and Andre' and made a profound impact on the two of you. Anyone responsible for leading another to God is surely a blessing.

You all are in my prayers...
