Since the weather is changing and all (it's getting nice out), I was thinking let's plan a get together. I know that everyone won't be able to attend as we're not all in the same place, but what about some of us east coast people meet up for some drinks, food and chattin' (God know we have tons to chat about :P ).

Can I get a roll call of all the members in the Tri-State area????

Good morning all!

I am frustrated, I have just dropped Lake off at class for his social studies test, then I ran around looking for vegetable seeds and borax. Both are impossible to find it seems. Sheesh, I usually stock up on seeds at the dollar store at 10 for a buck, but this year they arent carrying any. And so all the others I have found are 1.29 a pack, which makes it pretty pricey if I buy a lot of stuff. :( AND...I was just at the store that was the cheapest, and I got busy looking at other stuff, and darned if I didnt forget to go ahead and get the seeds they have. I remembered when I was halfway home. PHOOOEY!

Congrats Jax on being an aunt, and Jamie on your sweetie's greencard notice. So much good news, lets keep it coming...oh and me being pregnant does NOT count in there, Rhonda! lol

Sure been weird with the appetite lately tho, bitter melon, tater chips and choc milk for breakfast.

I wanted to know have any of ou ladies sent anything via the post office down to Jamaica.

I sent down two computer items for my husband ( I need him to get back online I can't stand not speakingot him on a regular) at the beginning of the month and it was suppose to reach in about 4 days I sent it Global priority/express gurantee with insurance, but up till now it has not reached him. It is in Jamaica but at the Customs. Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with the customs office to find out what is the deal?

I am thinking that the customs is holding on to it because the think it has some terrorist information on it, but that would be far from true, it is a brand new memory and harddrive still in the sealed case. Next time I will be sening things by DHL Fedex tried to charge me over a $100.

Thanks in advance.

Lake has an opportunity to work just a seasonal job at a resort (canoe) outfitters this summer, but its several hours away. I think we should check more into it, it would be fun and the last chance to "play" before he buckles down, but it would awfully hard for him to finish his GED if we were there. Its out in the sticks. But lots of opportunity to fish, hunt, and dink around in the country, and it would be MUCH closer to the trailer...taking care of that stupid thing with only a weekend is a pain in the rear, I would LOVE to live up there, but he says its too lonesome. Sigh...kinda dashes my dreams, as I had planned to move up there eventually. TOO LONELY? He told me only OLD folks are up there...well heck, we are ALMOST there...and he(we) gets invited over to other peoples houses, and etc, etc and here neither one of us have any friends at all. :(

That sounds like a wonderful opportunity  Try and convince him that he will make friends at his job that you can invite over to the trailer!

I know what you mean about wanting to move up to the middle of nowhere...heck I am only in my 20's and that is a dream for me. I would love to have a log cabin in the forest somewhere.

Good Luck
