Kim -- Congrats on being "touched." Unfortunately, it doesn't (automatically) mean you have been approved. Someone has gone into your file.....I know everyone here hopes the next thing you get is the e:mail telling you the approval has come. Keeping my fingers crossed

I just needed to get this off my chest and tell people who would understand being in a LDR with a Jamaican. Most of my friends here would have a “I told ya so” attitude. Thanks ladies. I love you all. (F)

Hi Ladies…

I want to say that all of you had made my journey a very pleasant, humorous and peaceful one. However, I just want to say that God was surely watching over me when Kirk got his denial last April. As hard as it has been to understand why, I now know the reason. Kirk was not 100% honest with me and was in at least 1 additional relationship. I have always been speculating but it has now been confirmed. It is very disturbing how twisted his mind is and how he is able to manipulate my mind in to believing that I am wrong. I am hurt, sad, and angry. But I know I will be okay. I always am. I wish you all the best. I consider many of you good friends of mind. I just needed to get this off my chest and tell people who would understand being in a LDR with a Jamaican. Most of my friends here would have a “I told ya so” attitude. Thanks ladies. I love you all. (F)

(((Jill))) I am sorry that you were manipulated the way you were. You are a wonderful person and you deserve only the best. I am glad that you are doing ok with the situation and that you feel comfortable with us all to share. My heart goes out to you and if you ever need anything please don't hesitate to ask. Things happen that we don't have control over and you will never get an "I told ya so" from us. We are all human. I hope you will stay around. You are a great part of our wonderful family. I pray God will keep you through this hard time. Remember to lean on Him.

Much Love (L)

Jill I am truly sorry and Jamie echos my feelings as well. I wish you and your family the best and please keep in touch.

Jill-

I just wanted to reach out to you and let you know truly how sorry I am that this has happened. I think you mentioned something to me the other day that truly makes sense. Back when the denial happened, you could not understand "why" or "how" that could happen but God always has our backs and our best interest at heart. He allows things to happen for reasons that not all of us understand at the time but he does this to protect us.

I think I echo many when I say that anyone involved in a LDR with a Jamaican has at one point in their life wondered if this is "real". Some people never find out until it is too late so count yourself as one of the "blessed" ones. Even though it may hurt now, stay strong because just as one door closes, God always opens another for us.

Please stay in touch......

Jill, I am so sorry to hear of your misfortune. God works in misterious ways and last April was truly one of him many miracles. You will bounce back from this, keep your headup and keep loving god.

We on this board is a family and like it is mentioned before if you ever need to speak to someone or even yell/vent we are here for you.(L)

Joanna and Adrian all the best on your interview tomorrow

HELLO FROM JAMAICA!!!

Adrian applied for the No impediment and paid for express service over 2 weeks ago and we finally got it today.

Things were going well with us till tonight we went to his aunts house and I used her computer to check my e-mail and there was an e-mail from expedia about his flight on May 18th...I called my mom to ask her to call them and find out what was going on, she called back to say that his flight was cancelled..I am so stressed right now...Adrian didnt have any credit on his phone so the neighbor next door let me use his phone to call and I was on hold forever with expedia, till I finally hung up...I have my laptop with me and the neighbor ran internet over to our apartment so at least I have internet and can start searching for flights...I am going to call expedia again tomorrow and see about trying to get another flight for him...they said they could give him a flight to Orlando, but we really want him to go through JFK and then to Orlando.

I will log in tomorrow and catch up on some reading...just wanted to drop in and say hello...Adrian is asleep next to me on the couch right now.

Joanna

That sounds strange that a flight would be cancelled that far in advance. Stay on it.

Thanks for all the well wishes for tomorrow I just pray everything goes ok...boy it is nice to have internet...we have a cord running from the next door apartment into ours so that I am able to connect on my lap top.

I have a questions, for those of you that have been to JFK airport how is it...I am looking for different flights for Adrian and the only thing I can find is one that gets into JFK 10pm and his flight to Orlando wont leave till 6am...will they let him stay in the airport??? or will they make him leave??

I firgure it will take him time to get through immigration, go get his luggage and then in the morning check in at the other airline.

Joanna

Hi Joanna-

Best of luck of your interview tomorrow. I will keep ou in my prayers!!!

I am kinda familiar with the JFK airport since I layover there sometimes myself. He is not going to have any problems staying in the airport. Only problem I see is that he will be very bored and very tired when he gets into Orlando the next morning. That is a pretty tough layover to sit in the airport all night. No place other than the floor to lay down!!! ........But.........if it is the only flight out then you gotta take it and I am sure he will be fine!!!

Best of luck and can't wait to hear how everything goes!!!!

Kim

By now Joanna & Adrian are at the Embassy.....waiting :clock: ......Good Luck to them today!! (L)

Not till tomorrow Mindy

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

Well........This is a new week for me to start waiting again..........PLEAZZZZZZ......OH PLEAZZZZ.......let the magical NOA2 arrive this week!!!!

I need some prayers...the waiting is started to stress me out!!!!!!

Have a great day!!! (F)

Kim

Kim it will come i know it will....i have a feeling.....

You are doing great on your timeline. Don't fret yourself. It will soon come.

SOOOOOOOOO true Kim !!! I requested my extension for part of that same reason.

Jill we ARE here for you, I truly know how hard it is and trust, it's very hard to get that back --long distance or not.

Craig went to drop off his DS230 part 1 this morning and the chic at the Embassy said he didn't HAVE the entire form??? I KNOW he did, but gave him back the same one and said for him to fill it out ALL over again. How flippin frustrating is that ! She kept the form that had all of the information on it, so it too 30 minutes for me to give the information to him ...argh. I HOPE the embassy will be "satisfied"!!! Then he's going over to apply for the police certificate. It took him about 2 hours just to get told he didn't have ALL of the DS 230 form !!
