Hi-

My name is Kim and I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. My fiancee lives in Jamaica nd we filed for the K-1 visa in February 2006. I am in the waiting process at this point!!!! I have been really stressed because it seems like the NOA2 is taking FOREVER.

Sounds like most of you are pros at this and you already went through my pain. I could sure use some support and words of wisdom from any...ALL of you!!!!!!

Thanks-

Hey Kim Welcome to the thread....You are setting a record with your trips tp JA. You are going almost Monthly...anyways goodluck!!!

DEE

Things are moving along and time is definitely ticking at this point! He has to drop off his DS230 and apply for the Police Cert (needs to get his passport back--he tried to weeks ago to get his police cert, but they wouldn't let him get it with just a photo ID and Birth Cert...ONLY a passport). Then wait for the Packet 4....

Kelly

:D Business blah...blahh... I'm happy for you.

Yep, the immigration officer in Jamaica looked at my passport and started to laugh. He said...well..."I guess I will be seeing you next month!!" However, my vacation is running low and the airfare has gotton ridiculous so I am not sure I will not be going in May and I am hoping to hold out until appointment day. Not sure if that will work since we have not even received NOA2 yet and it will be too hard to stay away for longer than 1 1/2 months.

My birthday is coming in June so I keep telling everyone to give me American Airline mileage or money towards a plane ticket...... no birthday gifts this year..........just want to see my baby!!! :) They think I am CRAZY......I guess I am a little

David understands about saving for retirement ect. I just had to explain our tech names for it all. I thought that because they were not US Citizens they did not have to pay taxes, meaning that they would get it back at the end of the year.

David's daughters mother will not allow her to have the test done at this point. Maybe she will change her mind, I encourgaed him. He's upset says that people are mking fun of him in JA something about a "Jacket" and taking care of someone elses child. She is his daughter in his heart, but because the mother is acting this way he wants to know so when we get throught this he is going to take her himself. I told him that it's not a good idea to tell the daughter if not but, he says that he will not hide anything from her because the mother belittles him for leaving his daughter

What I Love most about my man. Jonsie, Tenika, and Shamonya have described him to a "T" He's grounds me when I'm on high, he's kind, thoughtful, loving and never judgemental......... It would be a lot easier to name the things I do not like :D

Anna congrats on the weight loss. Just wanted to give you a little encouragement. How have you changed your eating habits?

Eating was never my problem I just wasn't active. I never been the one to eat out at fast food joints too tuff. I think my BIGGEST problems was eating b4 bed. I'm usually up until 1:00 anyway and I'll be fine but abt midnight I need something to eat. I still eat but snack on fruits when I feel hungry. I also go to step aerobics class 2 nights a week and work out another 2 nights and at work I take the stairs instead of the elevator.

See that's the problem too. I used to eat rice daily (I mean everytime w/every meal)....lol...now I don't mess around w/it too much. When I cook I try to make different sides for my daughter. but I won't eat it. I usually eat my meat w/vegetables. I cut down on bread too, we used to use a loaf a wk now most of the time it spoils. Every week I try to load up on fruits (watermelon, cantelope, pinneapple, strawberries, tangerines, etc) and i'll cut them up and put in a big bowl in the fridge. I make a bowl of fruit daily for snack while i'm at work so I won't make a trip to the vending machine. I also take Zantrex-3 so my appetite is next to nothing. Most of the time I eat just so my muscles won't turn to fat. I just don't be hungry. I really think it's in my system b/c I don't take them daily anymore....and sometimes I just not in the mood to eat.

NAME ONE THING THAT YOU REALLY LOVE ABOUT YOUR MAN[/color]

He is so caring - when I'm sick he is so attentive, taking better care of me than my mom did when I was a youngin (shhh, don't tell her I said that LOL). If I'm stressed about something, he tries his hardest to deal with the situation so that I can relax. He's also a good cook (L):D

I'll have to say the same. Squito is the most attentive man I've ever met. He actually listens to what i have to say (even if he doesn't like it). He's not afraid to show affection. He's cute as a button...opps that's three things :luv:

Mrs Squitto: I am sorry to hear of your trouble, you commited it to the Lord, now just submit those required documents and let the Lord work

Thanks!!

And to mama Squitto, for all the hassles your are gettin from immigration. Do dont happen to be a Virgo, do you? Just wonderin...

No I'm an aries, they just wanna pick on me that's all

Yeah, we're just now working out the wedding details for November. I'm getting excited for it. I will finally get to wear a real wedding dress! And yes, we picked out a name... so far... I don't think it will change but you never know. It's Elias Kenrick Grant ---Elias because we like it and Kenrick is Michael's middle name. And if the ultrasound is wrong and we have a girl, she will be Evany (for his aunt Evelyn, and his grandmother "Tiny" who raised him :D ).

That's a VERY Jamaican-sounding name. Good luck with the wedding plans!! :luv:

LOL, now Dee, you went and got me to wondering....

So...what are the things you DONT like about your man????

I can tell you mine, he doesnt show emotion. (he never learned affection either, another issue) He has had to hide it all his life as a self preservation thing, and so he is very serious (facially) even when he is happy/sad/upset. AND he doesnt talk about how he feels, etc. He is very quiet. Says even his family doesnt know he is around til he says something, and then they all look around and say..."Wow, where did you come from, didnt know you were here!" kinda thing. I love his quiet ways, but sometimes I do wish he would be a bit more "chatty".
