Hey ladies....a few comments here:

Round trip or one-way...whichever is cheaper --immigration does not care.

Interview:

I agree with Jonesie if you can go go. I did not go because I knew Oneil could handle it. We had a delay due to immigration just being blasted picky. They requested more evidence such as cards etc. All I did was fax Oneil our text messages and e-mails and that was it. They then approved him 2 days later. What a PAIN. So if you cant go and you think your man can handle it then stay home.

Oneils brother's interview is May 5th!!! I hope he gets to come here!!! I cant wait to here. He is engaged to my good friend here in MN.

I am glad everybody is getting a job that is here now. I just mailed off the AOS package yesterday! YEAH. It should have arrived this morning in Chicago.

Now the waiting begins for the EAD.

Congratulations on getting your papers off. Has anyone compared the timeline for Jamaicans vs. other nationalities?

Happy Birthday (Belated) JILL and Kimone!!

Hope your day was marvelous! :D

Does anybody know an airline that might give discounted rates to a group going down to Jamaica from Chicago? I have 17 people flying down for my wedding and was wondering if we could get a discount for our group.

For all of us in IL I sure hope it gets warmer again like yesterday. Its freezing today ugh

I think I should send him to schooling for medical something or other, I KNOW hospitals have pretty good benefits normally. I have a friend in California and his health care is totally free! FREE! And he is just a tech, no schooling in the medical field, but the business field. I think he must get pretty good vacations as well, as he is always taking time off. Hmmm...

Are you near Decorah Iowa? This sounds program sounds interesting; they even lay out what the future earnings might be.

My brother and family from the Midwest flew to MoBay on RyanAir from O'Hare. It was cheaper than all other carriers and those flying out of NY and Texas. I wish I had a link to their website. I will try to get to my brother and get it for you. They are well know in the UK but not in the US. Try www.ryanair.com.

Kind of like a European JetBlue if I am not mistaken.

Hello everyone,

Welcome Shauna, my interview is May 9th  and I am definatly going i wouldnt miss it!!

Happy b-day - Kim and Jill

Tenika - That is great news that Rohan will be coming home Friday, I will pray for a safe and uneventful flight!!

Well I just got home from a long day shopping with my mom and cousin...we went to one little bridal shop an they said that we needed at least 4 months to order dresses OMG!!! so then we went to Davids bridal and found the perfect 2 piece top and skirt, it fit my cousin great and she was comfortable so now we just have to order my sister in laws, she is in Germany so she cannot try it on but her and I are shaped similar so I tried it on...they are black...i gave my cousin a choice between dark purple, lavender or black and we went with black...my accent colors are different shades of purple, since the hotel is done in the deep medevial purple colors I thought it would be nice to match the hotel (I know I am crazy!! )

Then mom and I went shopping at the outlet malls...so we had a great day!!! Hope everyone else had a good day also

Joanna

Hi everybody :luv:

Night crew checking in! Going to go catch up now :reading:

hi..yes my i-129f was approved and mike got the packet 3 so we are getting all of those forms filled out and hopefully by next week he can take it to the embassy and then he will get his interview....i am not sure if i should plan to go with him to the interview or not....any thoughts?

Shauna

Yes, Yes, Yes  If it's at all possible you should try to be there with him for the Interview. Pretty much all of us who were there w/ our fiances flew through with no problems. They seem to hassle and question the guys a lot more if their fiance is not there. Just my opinion.

Happy Birthday to everyone celebrating today. My birthday is today too!

Happy Birthday to you too  How's the pregnancy going?

GREAT NEWS EVERYONE!

My mom purchased Rohans ticket :dance::) , :D:D:dance::dance::D

See you all tomorrow.

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

Hey Shauna,

All your fiance has to do is turn in the DS-230 form and then the embassy will send out a letter with the interview date. That is all for right now...you just need to start preparing all the documents for your end of the deal and he needs to fill out the applications in packet 3 and get the rest of the stuff done on the checklist to be prepared for the interview.

About the financial part...you might want to start trying to find a co-sponsor...I realize you make enough now but they will also look at your previous years returns and I believe they must meet the poverty guildlines, (at least I would think they would look at last years)...I would not risk it.. If it was me I would get a co-sponsor just in case...better safe then sorry....but someone else may be able to give you a better answer then myself

Jax....Check out www.vacationhotline.net They are very cheap airfare from Chicago to JA. The airline is USA3000. Non-stop flights, a meal and a movie. Flights leave Chi about 6:00 am and land in JA about 11:30. On the beach by 1:00 :)

They have flights ranging from 199-400 depending on when you want to go. Use them all the time. The only reason I was able to maintain a healthy happy LDR!
