Hello everyone,

Happy Birthday Adrian!!

Jamie, I have to agree w/both Dee & Squitto. When I had my daughter I was young and trust me a decent wage was a understatement. I didn't have much but I was very grateful. I had a wonderful baby shower got everything from a crib to pampers. I did buy a few things here and there but didn't need anything big until she was 1. Formula was very expensive but I was on WIC. Technically, it's base on your income but I've seen ppl make a lot more then I do today, married, and still qualify for WIC. It's all on you. As far as medical goes I had my mother's ins since I was still under the age of 22 but my daughter had an "in house" ins policy thru the hospital. They have clinics within and the copays were based on your income vs expenses. It is great and very reasonable. I personally don't think ANYONE can be fully ready but having some funds reserved doesn't help at all. If/when it happens just have faith and you will pull through. It's about about hope. My next child is going to be planned as well and although I don't have the finances like I wished for once Javon and I are married and he has a stable job we plan to complete our family.

I neglected to mention this before, as things have been ridiculously hectic for me as of late (as you can probably tell by my scarcity on the boards) but I have a new job. My current gig just wasn't cutting it on the financial end. With Squito not working, all of our regular living expenses, plus the wedding expenses (not to mention the immigration expenses) I knew I needed to supplement my income some way. I considered taking on a second job, but I didn't want to spread myself too thin. So after a great deal of consideration and prayer, I decided to put myself back in the job market. I've been here for just over two years and had grown very comforable in my position but I wasn't exactly being challenged. I went on a series of interviews with one of the major ad agencies here in NYC and got a new job, making significantly more than what I am making now. My last day here is Friday and I have one week off before I start my new job on May 1st. I am really looking forward to the challenges that await me. The Lord has been so good to Squito and I. :luv:

Well I just spoke with Adrian,

Since he had been sending me his pay checks while working on the ship, I now had to send him some money, so he just went and picked up the money I sent money and went and rented a car and now he is on his way to Spanish Town to apply for that No Impediment to Marriage cert #######!!...tomorrow I told him to go to the embassy and pick up packet 4 (it never came in the mail) and go get his police cert...I have already scheduled his Medical for May 2nd...so hopefully everything will go as planned!!! or at least I am praying it will go as planned :D
