Ahhh!! annoying Visa payment Question!

Hi guys!

My fiance got her Interview date from the us Embassy in Canberra in Australia! We are super excited but we've run into a stupid issue! looking at the letter she received it says she needs to go to ustraveldocs and set up an account to pay for the visa. Two big issues, 1)she has already scheduled the visa, so would she mess up her already scheduled interview by following that? 2) we are going for a K1 immigrant, the only options are for non immigrant. I looked back on a few post and came across the link below, is this what she needs? This website is so lame I thought it was a scam at first! Thanks for all the help guys!!

K1 visa applicants pay the fee directly at the Embassy, unless it's different in Australia. Have your fiance calling the embassy to double check to be on the safe side

You CANNOT pay at the embassy. It's true that website is confusing and wack. Just email the embassy and they will shoot you back a form that you print and pay at Australia Post, then you bring the receipt to your interview as proof of payment ($240).

It depends on the country. Looks like most countries are now transitioning to the ustraveldocs site to schedule interview, arrange payment, etc. Last year in Ukraine you had to pay directly at the embassy right before the interview (either in local currency or US dollars) and schedule the interview over the phone with them (which cost $12/8 min to speak with them). Now they say to schedule the interview online (for free!) and pay at a bank beforehand (in local currency only, with a crappy exchange rate, which comes out to like $6 more).
