Was wondering if I'm gonna have issues with my ticket being purchased in the U.S. My husband is buying it through his travel agent over there in the U.S and is way cheaper than me buying it here in Nigeria but I'm worried if il be asked questions and also its a return ticket but the return would stop me at Brussels not Nigeria even though im Neva gonna make use of the return. The travel agent said she did it that way inorder to get it incredibly cheaper. So guys any advice? should we go ahead? Do they ask questions regarding tickets at the POE? Do I need to have my husband's credit card info handy? I asked him to give me time to ask around and he says that ticket won't be waiting for us if we don't pay. helpsmilie.gif

God is love!

Usually when it is purchased in the states, the USC needs to go to the airport and show his credit card he used.

A lot of people buy roundtrip tickets as they are much cheaper. Just make sure to cancel your return trip once you have touched down in the US. This way you wont run into any issues with immigration later on.

Congrats!

Just about everyone I know here on VJ coming out of Nigeria had tickets purchased in US. Most agencies have verification of account and such. And a return ticket isn't required either. You are fine. The POE doesn't dig that deep in how you bought a ticket.

I bought my fiancee ticket here in the USA. I bought a one way for her with Turkey Airline and she arrived to USA safely. I paid cash for her ticket with my travel agent. All your need to do is to make confiemation on the ticket with the Airline.

Whomever the ticket's name is in, is who can use that ticket. So if your spouse bought you a ticket, it has your name on it, it doesn't matter if they or anyone else bought it, the only person who can use it is YOU. It'll be okay, :)
