After USE in Manila received the case, Whats next?

Its been almost 3 weeks now since USE in Manila got our case but we have not heard anything from them. No emails or letter. Shouldnt they supposed to send me a letter telling me our case is already in manila? or should i expect for the packet 4 already? Thanks for future replies

Thersch, If you do a little research on this site for similar timelines you will see the dates that the NVC gives you are not always accurate and it takes about a month for you to receive the letter from the embassy stating they have received you case. I suggest pulling the required forms from this site and have them filled out instead of waiting on the Packet 4. Packet 4 will be sent once the Embassy schedules your appointment. Based on your dates (similar to ours), you are looking at Jan the earliest and probably Feb for an interview. Good luck, Ken

Packet 4 will be sent once the Embassy schedules your appointment. Based on your dates (similar to ours), you are looking at Jan the earliest and probably Feb for an interview. Good luck, Ken

Rigger, Just curious why it took so long for the NVC to forward your case to the Embassy? Unfortunately it looks like the Manila embassy goes off the receive date not the NOA2 date for appointments. Good luck, maybe we will all be there the same time. Ken

A timeline search should help you get a better idea of the waiting time you are looking at. Manila is processing more work visas now than they did when Claudeth's petition went through. I believe she waited about six weeks from the time the embassy received the petition until she received the packet from the embassy. I would imagine the wait is even longer now. Good luck

My fiance also didn't receive the letter from the Embassy. i called the Embassy to confirm they had the petition. from your timeline i'm guessing your looking at a Feb. interview date. best of luck.

Rigger I actually called or labeled it incorrectly. It was actually a letter from the Embassy stating tey had received our case from the NVC. I'll fix our signature. Ken

I called the Call Center and the agent said no letter is being sent yet and to make it more worst, he told me that waiting time might take up to 6 Months! and I was like "WHAT?!" 6 Months? oh boy...

then before we hung up (maybe he felt guilty for saying that.. lol ) he said "or you might be lucky and might be in the January interview" I WISH...
