Hello all!

Yesterday we finally got our NOA2 email (yay!), and so we're getting together all of our NVC paperwork in preparation for the next step of the process! Here's my little problem:

When my husband and I got married, we obviously had to show some sort of ID at the civil registry. My husband's ID was his federal issued "cedula" ID that everyone in Ecuador has. He had had it since high school, since you're only required to update them when you get a new job, or your civil status changes, etc, and he hadn't since graduation (not to mention he had only graduated two years earlier). Because of this old ID, the judge made him sign the marriage certificate with his old signature - even though he stopped using it years ago. Now, in his passport he has the signature he uses now. I'm wondering, when NVC sees the difference in signatures on the marriage cert in comparison with his passport photocopy and other applications, will they make a problem? Should I write a letter or something explaining what happened, or will it not make a difference?

I want to be extra careful with every little thing so as not to give them any excuse to make our case take any longer!

Thanks! (:
