Dear Guys and Gals :

I would like to ask for your opinion on my case which is as follow :

On April 09 2001 my aunt filed a family based petition I-130 for my father, mother and me at that time I was 19 years 11 months 4 days

On March 26 of 2010 the petition became approved at that time my age was 28 years 10 months and 5 days. and within a year we filed the DS-230 form.

The waiting period for the visa to became approved was exactly 8 years 11 months and 17 days, so as my understanding I can subtract this period of time

To my age, this leaves my age frozen at 19.8838118 years.

My concern is if I'm making this calculations the right way or if I'm wrong, I'm asking your help on this matter to find out if I'm going to qualify for the immigrant visa

At the interview which is very close.

I'm also wondering that actually I have an B1/B2 Non Immigrant visa valid for 10 years and if they don't grant me the immigrant visa, will they cancel my Non Immigrant Visa at the interview ?

Thank You all for taking the time to read my post.

Mike

your cpsa age is your real age minus ( petition approval - petition acceptance ) or your real age minus the 8 years . You are not frozen in age

Thank You Nigeriaobust for your reply, I understand your meaning but I was wondering because when the visa became approved then with a year I filed the I-824 and DS-230 forms

What I understand is that Seek to Acquire in time but the what confuses is the meaning on CSPA that said "The date of visa availability means the first day of the first month a visa in the appropriate category was listed as available in the Department of State’s visa bulletin or the date the visa petition was approved, whichever is later. this last word "whichever is Later" is the tricky part.

It should say whatever is first.
