New year so what should i do

ok, I was planning on sending my AOS package this month. I've just delayed to send it and be done with all this but I'm currently having computer issues, and since Sanaa, Yemen does electronic processing I kinda need a computer.

But then I realized something. It's now 2013. I was thinking of just sending off tax returns from the year 2011 (because that's the most recent I have) , 2010 and 2009. But we may be getting the tax returns for 2012 in a month or so.

my question is should I wait until I we have the 2012 tax returns. Or does it not matter. can I just send in the most recent I have at this point. will nvc not care or will they care and want from 2012. anyone else go through this similar experience. I just don't want the nvc to reject the AOS package because of this and have to correct it. If it's worth the wait I will wait to send it. If it doesn't matter at all then I will send it now.

I would really appreciate responses soon because I do plan to send this package as soon as possible if the above question doesn't apply.

File with what you have. 2012 not due till April, you will have them for your interview. Waiting 3 months is 3 months less processing time.

2012 taxes won't be requested until after the deadline to file (around Apr 15). If the interview date takes place after April 15 the CO might request to see them but by then you should have them ready, no problem. So go ahead and file AOS with 2009/10/11 taxes, and make sure you have 2012 taxes for the interview.

I realized this as well. I have a joint sponsor (mom) since I am a student and she already put in a request for the IRS transcripts of 2009, 2010 and 2011. Since they file on the deadline, I told her just to get either her last paystub or her w2 if she gets it in time and a letter from her boss about 2012.

I figure Ill put ALL the info I can in the AOS packet.

10/25/10 .. Met in Auckland, NZ

09/05/12 .. Got Married in Santa Barbara, CA

USCIS:

09/26/12 .. I-130 Sent

10/07/12 .. I-130 Returned. Checkmarks did not print. Doh!

10/15/12 .. I-130 Sent AGAIN

10/19/12 .. NOA1 date

11/20/12 .. File was transferred to my "local field office" (Seattle)

12/14/12 .. Touch! Officially online!

01/22/13 .. NOA2 date (95 days)

NVC:

01/28/13 .. NVC receives case

02/11/13 .. Case number assigned

02/12/13 .. AOS bill paid

02/14/13 .. AOS bill shown PAID

02/14/13 .. AOS packet sent

this is another reason why I am pushing for an early completion so I wnt have to deal with 2012 tax and start wondering how best(status) to file now that I am married (spouse outside US) and mom living with me.

09/26/2012: Mailed I-130 from Nigeria( delayed by customs)
USCIS stage ( 66 days)
10/12/2012: NOA 1
12/17/2012: NOA 2 (case was transferred to NYC office 11/27/12)
NVC stage ( 20 days)
01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)
01/09/2013: AOS invoiced and paid, DS-3032 emailed and mailed.
01/16/2013: IV invoiced &paid. AOS & IV mailed in one package(arrived 01/18).
01/28/2013: Case complete!!!
04/19/2013: Interview; APPROVED!!!!!
05/13/2013: POE; JFK
