Obama administration and USCIS should prioritize handling these cases where relatives are separated from US citizens.

Please sign this petition and promote.

we petition the obama administration to:

Stop unfair delay of Immigration cases of separated relatives due to backlog of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.

This petition is to Obama administration about the delay in processing of Immigrant visa petitions by USCIS and their priority of handling cases due to huge backlog of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) cases.

The DACA cases are people already in the USA and not separated from their loved ones whereas Genuine Immigrant visa petitioners are being punished for doing the immigration process the legal and proper way. There is also the financial impact on these families and US economy.

USCIS needs to hire more staff to relieve the backlog from fees of the deferred action cases. There are currently over 400,000 cases, each paying $435. ($174,000,000).

Do you have any proof the DACA is making things slow? Or is that just your guess? Actually, it has made many IR/CR-1 cases speed up.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

I totally support DACA, but I think that it is adversely affecting the processing time for my case. Maybe those that got shifted to other centers are benefitting which is why people who applied in September have their petition approved but for those of us who applied in May or June and are still waiting, it can only have made it worse.

Well they did get slammed with what.. a million of these deferred action cases? if you punch in random case numbers on USCIS website around your case number, you'll find some of these deferred action cases. In Vermont, they were approving these in about 2 months. My I-130 case with Vermont took 7 months for them to even look at it, and my case date (May 17th) was about 2 months before they even started Deferred Action.

So.. it's pretty easy to tell who got priority.
