Hi all,

Just wanted to share that we got an RFE just now via text (don't know what they want yet though). This is good news cause this means that they are (finally) working on our case.

Now let's just hope they get what they want real fast so we can get an approval.

It would have been wonderful if it was an approval, but hey, at least our lawyer has to work a little more for the money we paid right? ;)

USCIS stage ( 66 days)

01/08/2013: Case # and IIN assigned ( file arrived NVC mail room 12/20/12)

Do you know if your case is at a local office? So many of them are sending RFEs requesting a birth certificate for the beneficiary even though it isn't usually part of the I-130 items.

ETA: I realize your application is in California according to your profile but did it get moved at any point?

We haven't heard anything about any transfer, so it is probably still at the CSC, I'll let you know what the RFE is about when our lawyers get the papers.

Us to, RFE on 1-11-2013, but like you said, at least someone has laid their hands on the late July 2012 I130 applications.kicking.gif

Sorry for the late response, we are actually still waiting for the letter. It's been more than two weeks now and our lawyer has contacted USCIS to see whats going on.

It's frustrating and it is hard to believe that sending a letter can take this long. Getting an RFE meant getting some kind of response after 6 months of nothing, and now again... nothing.

Our lawyer contacted USCIS yesterday and was told that an RFE would be issued, but had not yet been issued! They (lawyers) are now working to find out what's going on.

The USCIS hasn't even issued the RFE, and that means that they haven't sent any mail either. *sigh*
