I just got an email that my I-30 application has been accepted today. I checked the status and it says under initial review. How long does it take to get a decision?

on the I-30 application there were some mistakes I scribbled out, I hope that doesn't cause a rejection. Is it possible to be rejected because of that?

One more thing my wife was born in Egypt, I never sent in her birth certificate. I only sent a copy of her passport. Do they require spouse birth certificate? Note* Her passport is in Arabic language which states where she is born..

Someone please help me out.

which service center was it routed to? we can give you a better estimate if we know. Anything in Arabic needs to be translated to English. I am sure your marriage contract is in Arabic, so be prepared over the course of your journey you will need several things translated. Good luck

I sent our marriage contract, our lease apartment rental official documents and they are officially translated. I also sent a pregnancy test from a medical center to prove shes pregnant and that our marriage is mutual.

Would they ask about her birth certificate if I already sent the marriage contract?

I sent it to my dad in California and he sent it to phoenix.

You need to tell us which service center your notice says you're going to. What are the 3 letters your file number starts with?

I don't know about scribbling. If it makes it illegible then I imagine they would send it back.

They don't need the birth certificate of the beneficiary at this point but note that many of the local offices adjudicating these cases have been asking for them once they get the files so don't be surprised if that happens.

The first three letters are MSC. I sent the application to my dad in California with my mom when she went back. He called them up and they said he can send it to Phoenix so I suppose that's where it is if they didn't forward it. Okay, I checked the status and it's under Initial review, how long do I wait until it's approved or rejected.. I mean is it possible I wait couple months and they reject it? and if that's the case if I resubmit it, do I have to start the waiting process all over again?

Note* our marriage contract states her full name, date of birth, and where she is born and its officially translated so I'm guessing they wont ask for her birth certificate.

MSC is Missouri which is the National Benefits Center. From there it is either processed there or sent to a "local office" for processing which from what I understand is based on where YOU, the petitioner, lives. The local offices don't usually complete these cases but they are right now in order to pick up some of the slack. Many of the local offices are asking for the birth certificate of the beneficiary even though it's not usually included at this point. They won't care about any of the information on your marriage certificate. They will just want the birth certificate. But some have not asked for it so all you can do is wait at this point. If they require more information they will send an RFE (request for evidence) and tell you what they want. I believe you will have 30 days to send what they've asked for. If they reject the application due to your scribbling then they will send it back to you and you would start again as far as I know. Timelines vary depending on many factors. You can start by visiting the timelines section above. And remember to fill in your own timeline so that everyone here can assist you further and so that your timeline can be a reference to help others on their journey after you.

I have been living in Egypt for the past 14 months, hmm I see. I guess I have to just wait and see.
