I pretty much quit watching that guy. Not because he's British, just because he has an agenda. I used to think CNN was pretty middle of the road. I guess middle of the road doesn't get ratings. I wonder what Larry King thinks of his old show now.

I read an article in a British tabloid's website the other day about Peirs Morgan and almost everyone who commented on the article were saying they hated him and what right did he have to tell Americans what to do. Nobody likes him.

When I went back to work after New Years a police cruiser was sitting across the street. It turns out they were going to fire one of the guys who worked in the stockroom because he had been drunk at work just before Christmas. He is a serious gun enthusiast and has a big arsenal. The bosses were worried he would go home and get his guns so they paid the cops to stay outside for the rest of the week.

Nothing happened.......so far!

No my employer paid the police department to assign a police officer to sit outside my work to protect us from a potential threat. A police officer who was on duty and presumably working for his usual wage did just that.

I'm sure its already been said somewhere in these answers, but really I think that most people realize that the children of the President of the United States are in need of higher security than your average kid. The NRA is starting to slip away with its arguments.

I personally did not do anything and I found the whole thing rather amusing.

I don't have a problem with law enforcement officers carrying guns. They are the good guys and they are trained to use them.

I wonder if they realize how flawed their arguments are before they say them and decide to say them anyway hoping nobody will notice ... or if they actually think this is a valid argument to make?

The old NRA seems much more reasonable than this one. Can we get them back?
