Like most of us met on the internet, its what you do with the relationship afterwards that matters to both individuals and USCIS.

Do not stress yourself so much. Meeting your spouse online is not a red flag in USCIS as common couple today meet their spouse through internet. Just relax and I wish you good luck!!! :thumbs:

If you have clear documentation of a legitimate relationship and act as a couple in front of the officer you will have no problems. If your wife doesn't speak English well, you have no evidence of life together, and she is 30 years younger than you...well, you might have some tougher questions but that is still not a game breaker. Just make sure you have everything in order and that you are both on the same page with your life stories and you will be fine.

She is not exactly fluent in English so we are taking a Chinese friend along to act as a translator if needed. I don't think she will have a problem with most of the questions. Thanks for your reply

She came here to visit me on a visitors visa on two separate occasions and we met in person for the first time when I visited her in China. She's been to the US 4 times total and made several trips to Europe. We had no plans of getting married but it happened. I didn't want her to leave again. Our marriage is very real and we are both very happy.

Ok, I have a question. You met her on the internet, then you visited China, then she came to visit you two times and you ended up getting married. Would immigration folks not look upon that suspiciously since you had an ongoing relationship for a while before you got married?

I ask only because I am in a similar situation. We have been internet friends for almost two years, met for a vacation together as friends, then he may be coming here to see his relatives and we will probably get together and spend some time together. We have made no marriage plans, etc. But I would be afraid to end up getting married and applying for AOS because I would think immigration would target us and think we were committing visa fraud. Opinions?

I met my hubby online, when we went to the interview, we told the officer the truth, and the officer told us her daughter met her husband online too.. It's a pretty common thing nowadays... No red flags
