Hi there all,

I am looking over my forms to get them ready for the interview and noticed some mistakes in my additional visits on my DS-156. I put the wrong year for some of them&accidentally forgot to put 2 visits on my form. I have called the Toronto Consulate here in Ontario and they have informed me that I can fill out another form and either mail it to the Montreal Consulate or wait till the interview. They also said that I should email the Consulate to let them know that I am filling out a new form. Are there any seasoned vets who have went through this for the Montreal Consulate and can give some advice? This is making my head go around&around. Thank you for your help in advance.

Honestly, I doubt they are going to compare the exact dates on your form with their records. Bring a page with up to date travel dates to the interview. All they asked us at the interview was "Have you ever been to the US?". If it comes up, you have the page with you.

2011-05-21: Matched on eharmony (clearly not in my 60 mile radius preference!)

2011-07-30: Met in Ottawa

2011-08-28: Day I knew I wanted to spend my life with her

2012-01-21: I proposed, outside in the freezing cold!

2012-02-06: Mailed out K-1 via FedEX

2012-02-10: NOA1

2012-08-01: NOA2

2012-08-17: Packet 3 received (email)

2012-09-10: Packet 3 sent

2012-09-12: Packet 4 received (email) with request for 2 photos

2012-10-29: Medical in Toronto

2012-11-06: Interview - Approved!

2013-04-05: POE Thousand Islands

Hi there all,

So I have decided to be honest that I needed to do another DS-156, do you think this will cause red flags at the interview? All I had to do was change the year on some of the dates. Thank you for your replies. Thank you for the above advice Rob&Monika.

I have called the Toronto Consulate here in Ontario and they have informed me that I can fill out another form and either mail it to the Montreal Consulate or wait till the interview. They also said that I should email the Consulate to let them know that I am filling out a new form.

Hi Chris!

Just do EXACTLY as the consulate answered. It's simple, you are just nervous. You will be fine. :)

We also have the same wedding date! :star:

I am (usually) the beneficiary.
