Walang Anuman Lucy... and maraming salamat for wishing us luck. We have been praying that all will go well, and we have been praying for a very kind consular officer. It will be really great to have my Baby here for Thanksgiving so she can meet everyone at once. That would be the icing on the cake for me. Ingat ka...

July 16,2007- Applied SSN in married name...(Recieved SSN card in the mail July 24th)

July 17,2007- Sent AOS/EAD application

July 17,2007- Applied for State ID in married Name(got August 05,2007)

July 18,2007- Driver's learners permit test....passed

Aug. 09,2007-Passport Amended in Philippine Embassy Washington D.C. (done the next day)

Aug. 21,2007- Biometrics AOS and AED

Sept.26,2007- EAD Card production ordered

Oct. 01,2007-EAD Approval Notice Sent(Recieved in the mailed Oct.04)

Oct. 03,2007-Passed the Driver Test Iam a license driver now yey-AOS Transferred to CSC

Nov. 27,2007-Card Production Prdered

Opo! Did you see my picture? LOL! I gave myself that nickname while I was in the Phil because there are many signs that read, "Uling for Sale." I thought it would be funny (since I'm Black) so I introduced myself as Uling. LOL! People couldn't stop laughing... I also picked up another nickname given by my Nanay... "Mr. Clean" LOL!!!

The SSN info is wrong. A K-1 can't apply until they enter the U.S.

Before your fiancé(e) arrives in the United States, you can help her or him apply for a social security number card. "

Every link to the USCIS Website is no good.

Every link to the USCIS Website is no good.

LOL! They don't know their own rules. You are absolutely correct about K1 visa beneficiaries can not apply for a SSN until they arrive, and that line is absolutely incorrect. I have not tested the links within the new USCIS website for SSA yet, but I definitely believe you. Hopefully they will eventually correct the links.

I was chatting with BJZags about this very thing... This process is confusing enough without receiving incorrect information from agencies that don't even know their own policies, procedures, and rules. Godness gracious. All we really have is one another...
