I-864 Sponsoring spouse no previous income

Hi there,

My spouse doesn't have previous income (W2) nor filed for the past 3 years and she is the USC sponsoring me for Adjustment of Status (TN to Green Card).

I am working in the US and read that the applicant's salary can be used since I'm the spouse and as per the instructions, "the intending immigrant income can be used (if it continues after being resident, etc.)"

My question is more if anybody has had experience or been in a similar situation can confirm ?

It would be a shame to fill AOS for nothing

Not personally but yes, I have seen many people on here who were on a work visa and self-sponsored. You will need a letter from your employer stating permanent job and salary. Your wife will need to submit a letter explaining why she was not required to file with the IRS.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Will include my W2 of last year and a letter from my employer that I am full time employee, and a letter stating why my wife/sponsor didn't file income tax past 3 years.

Have your employer draft a letter to this effect:

RE: Your Name

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Please be advised that [Your Name] has been employed full time by [Company Name] since [date] as [Your position]. His current annual base pay is $xx.xx.

Regards,

HR Name

HR address

Make sure it's on their letter head.

Thanks for the extra details! Will ask for that letter closer to the date I submit the package.

And hopefully will have the W2 in Feb as well.
