Realistic Processing Times?!?!?!

Hey Everyone! My fiance Rick and I are trying to fill out our timeline to get a better idea of when the process will be completed- entirely. From our basic information input, it said that we are projected to be adjudicated by June 1-June 8th...Does this mean that he will be approved and we can get married then, or does he still have to interview and wait for social security paperwork??? We are trying to plan for a summer wedding and since it is bridal season, we are desperate to narrow down a date for the venue. Any help would be great...thank you so much for any responses!

I wouldn't make any concrete plans if I were you. The timeline on VJ is no guarantee that your petition will be approved by then, (it just gathers data from VJ members) in reality, the USICS has way way more applications it's reviewing. and plus after that, you'll still have to wait for another 1-2 months for interview at the consulate, so don't put any money down on anything. Your petition could get approved quickly or you may still be waiting after 6 months plus!

That estimate is only for the K1 petition. It still needs to go through NVC and on to your consulate where you need to wait for interview and have a medical. Add at least a few more months on to your estimate.

My guess is you should be planning a fall wedding, but then I wouldn't plan anything until I had that visa in hand.

Average time listed on this sight for Vermont Service Center and UK consulate is around 260 days from NOA1 to getting visa. Processing times change over time. That would put you in August, but that's speculative at this point.
