My NOA-1 was dates 2 days before USPS said it "delivered" the package....so yeah, give it a couple of days, nothing to freak out about just quite yet.

I haven't called them yet. I'm going to call them in 3 hours during lunch time. Will update accordingly. They said they'd call but they don't know when. I'm not going to wait on them to call me back. I'm going to call them back.

I used USPS Express, overnight certified for all of my immigration needs (I130, AOS, and IV) packages. I didn't experience in delay or problem. This is the first time that I'm experiencing some problem. On what basis is ground service more track-able than Express service? Of and the whole Express shipping cost me $18. Not a whole lot of money considering the application fee is $590. I don't mind sending a bit extra for important things like my wife's immigraion. Beside I though more expensive = better service. Sadly, I'm wrong.

That gives me great bit of hope. Last night was terrible before I posted on VJ. I was freaking out and hyperventilating nearly. All of your assurances made me calm down. Thank you so much. I'm going to give it till Friday. What I'm not sure of is when it's Friday and the package hasn't be delivered (if it hasn't), what is my next step? Wait more? InfoPass appointment? File another package? Or have my wife pack up for impending deportation?

You have to calm down a bit.

Next step would be to wait a little bit to see if the check has been cashed.

I have no doubts that the package would be delivered, but there might be discrepancies with the tracking that have nothing to do with real life.

USPS just updated the shipping info. It's at Vermont now, about 30 miles away from the USCIS Vermont Service Center. Hoping it will be delivered today. Did I ever tell you that you guys are f'n amazing and awesome.

Heh, hope you feel better now.

Immigration is a long process (VSC being especially slow with I-751 petitions), you can't freak out every time something is late by a couple of hours - you wouldn't get through the process alive...

I do feel a lot better now. I know the actual process is going to take anywhere from 7 months to a year. I was just anxious thinking USPS might have lost the packet and as you guys have pointed out, I couldn't just willy-nilly send another packet.

You know it. I'm going to wait for the NOA1 or check cashed before going to get my $18. Hey, $18 is 10 bundles of spinach. I love that sh*t sauteed with some salt, olive oil and skin on shrimp, and hint of hot pepper.

You really should request refund from USPS. It was express guaranteed package and they didn't keep their side of the deal.

Tonight I'm having naan bread with canned sweet peas cooked in two cups of milk, spices, and a cup of chopped fenugreek leaves. I also have curried Canadian lentil from night before. And from the night before that, I have potatoes wedge cooked with dried Bombay duck fish (imported from Thailand). For dessert, sour plums and a cup of tea. To be honest, I'm just going to microwave some frozen burrito and eat it with hot sauce.
