Hello Everyone,

It's been a couple of months since I have made a post and my wife and I are (hopefully) at the end of our visajourney. Her interview is on Friday January 18th in Guangzhou. We are both super stoked to have gotten this far and there is probably nothing we can do to improve our odds at this point, but I wanted to post some of my concerns and see if we can get any tips of what to do beforehand.

1. I was a student until the end of 2011. Then I went to teach English in China until September of 2012 after which I got a job stateside in November 2012 (making almost double the 125% poverty level income for our houselhold size of 2). I have a letter of employment, weekly pay-stubs up until last week, and bank statements that match my pay-stubs with a decent balance. I am the sole sponsor. Is this enough? Has anyone ever gotten through Guangzhou on current income alone without tax transcripts?

2. I read once upon a time that our case number and other information should be written on the top of all the pages of the i-864 form...?

3. Anything other Guangzhou-esce tips...?

Send her three years of tax returns or transcripts for the interview or go to a IRS office to get what you need. Review the guides/WIKI and USCIS site directly for requirements. You need the required documents, see other cases here on VJ. Know the answers to everything a married couple should know, see the reviews and similar time lines. Also read this: #4 What to do if one has no W-2 or US tax records for CR1 interview in China?
