Well can you help fill us in about your interview.

  1. Were you given a 221g?
  2. What was said at interview?
  3. What did they ask for from you?
  4. Did they just say your application needs more processing we will notify you?
  5. Where's there anything special about your case?

This will help us help you. Saying AP varies from person to person.

helo i was placed on AP at lagos embassy after my interview.the co asked why none of my wife family attended the wedding and i gave her a written letter from my wife sister and her first son,she went through the letter and told me that the letter was written by a ngerian not an american and so collected the letter and placed me on AP.So my wife wants to get lettes from more of her family members and friends notarised and send to the embassy.so i want to ask whatelse can we do and how long does nigerians who are placed on AP wait long?and if we need to send more documents to the embassy?pls i need your reply thanks

There is no time table for how long AP lasts and each case is unique. It could be that you are in the proverbial "holding tank" until

you submit more proof ( they would usually ask if they wanted more )or they are verifying items you have submitted internally or with

other agencies there or in the US. My fiance was on AP for 16 months and then the visa was refused and the case send back.

You may be in AP for a few weeks to a few months, no one knows and no one can do anything about it.

You did not answer as to if your wife was coached to write certain things and not having seen the letter I don't have an opinion on that.

Is it possible that your wife may have older and dated letters with a style of writing that may suggest a similar style of expressing herself

as in the notarized letter ? A letter she may have written to a friend or you, explaining why family could not attend ? Was the letter handwritten

or printed ? Two side by side letters may prove it was her unique style and no one else's.

Other than several sworn affidavits of family and friends stating they know of your relationship and weren't able to attend the wedding due to blah blah that is about all you can do. Do you have skype and yahoo cam shots and logs or email exchanges between you and her family that you can submit ?

Best wishes.

Donatus, I totally understand your anxiety over the waiting for an unspecified time now and I sincerely wish I could give you an estimate amount of time for the AP. Hope you can draw some strength from Ebunoluwa experience and comment above. My prayer is with you and your spouse in this AP and always...
