Unemployment Affect Pending Condition Removal -

I live in SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA and currently awaiting removal of my conditions on my US green card.

As part of the requirements to get my green card my husband had to sign a 'affadavit of support' which his father co signed.

The form stated that we cant use any form of public assistance, etc but i don't think unemployment counts as this as it it paid by my employer, correct or no?

I am afraid it may take a few weeks to get back on my feet and find a job again.

IF i file for unemployment, will it affect in anyway my chances to stay here in the US?

unemployment benefits are not a public means tested benefit.

it will not afffect your ROC.
