We just received e-mail notificiation of our I-485 approval without an interview by the CSC!! :) I have another question about what status the approval gives us. My wife would like to travel back to Germany over the Thanksgiving holiday for her grandmother's 90th birthday celebration. If she has not received her "green card" by then, will the local office, (ours is San Antonio) stamp her passport with the I-551 stamp so she can travel (we applied for AP as well but never received the form)?

thanks for your knowledge in advance!,

Michael

Cutting it a bit close for thanksgiving. You may want to schedule an info pass appointment to either get AP or the stamp in the passport.

You would more than likely get your GC before thanksgiving ... Although nothing is normal in this process so unfortunately you can't bank on that until you have the GC in your hands ...

It took 5 days for me to get my GC after my first email of approval from CSC ... When I was checking other people from CSC it was looking like 3 to 10 days was the time it was taking ...
