G-325a residences for past 5 years and dorms in college

I am filling out the G-325a form and have a question. One one area, it asks for ones residences for the past 5 years. Do college dorms count as residences? This being the case, one can attach an additional sheet, correct?

But if you stay in a dorm for (8) months straight and just come visit home for christmas, does that not make it your residence?

I think this is a very good question.

I like to think of it as 'if I change my license to this address, or if I have bills sent there, then I live there'

I don't think I'd change my license to my college dorm so I think in MY OPINION I wouldnt' consider it a residence.

My drivers license expired while I was away at college so I ended up with my college addresses (I updated the next year when I lived off campus) on my drivers and I had bills sent there too. I was also in the USA for 3 months for an internship for college so I plan on putting that down as well. I didn't change my drivers or get bills there, but I wasn't just visiting either. unsure.gif That one I'm not sure about, but personally, I'm putting my college address down. Just probably not the exact dorm rooms. After all I went there for 2 years, and the second year I didn't go home for xmas either.

But those would be for my DS-260... For last 5 year addresses I only had 2 for the G325a. My husband had more than they had space and had to send an added page.

I just completed my DS-260 online, and I know you aren't speaking about the same form HOWEVER, in the side column when on the residence page, it explains that college dorms WOULD be included in such a list. I wasn't going to include where I lived when I was away at school until I saw that. I realize I'm speaking about NVC stage and you're not there yet but if that's explained for the final part and they want that information then it should probably match what's being submitted at the USCIS stage should it not?

Thanks a lot! Looks like I have to attach an additional page :)

Would it be possible for you to copy and paste the explanation on the side column that you speak of?

It was while I was completing my DS-260 online. Each section had examples of what to include. I just remember it using dorms at school as an example of something you would include.
